WE’RE SO EXCITED!!!!  It’s  coming back!!  The talented Jimmie Fowlie  and  cast  are doing season 2!

“When I first moved to LA, I worked as a go-go dancer and there were so many hilarious stories that I always wanted to write about them! A year ago, I filmed 7 sketches that followed the story of a go-go boy who turned 30 and then got fired from the club he worked at. I called it “Go-Go Boy Interrupted.” It was part of a live show I was doing at The Groundlings in Los Angeles. Some friends encouraged me to put it online, and so I released it as a weekly web series last October.

go go boy interrupted season 2

I truthfully never pictured it doing as well as it did. The show was featured on The Advocate Magazine’s “hot list,” Huffington Post, LA Weekly, and more! We (the director Jordan Black and I) ended up signing a shopping agreement with a production company, and with their agent, we took out “Go-Go Boy Interrupted” to TV networks to try and sell it as a  TV show. We went to HBO, Showtime, IFC, and Bravo just to name a few!

There are still other networks that we are going to pitch to, but I didn’t want to sit around and wait for someone ELSE to give me an opportunity. Plus, the fans of the show were so supportive and on Twitter and Youtube they asked for more episodes. So, this month we are going to try and make it happen! I love all these characters and there are so many fun places for them to go!

The reason that the director and I decided to do a Kickstarter is because the first season, although it was a total blast, no one got paid. The few crew members who did, were paid way under their normal rate. Things like paying the actors, director, and crew are essential! Not only because they’re talented and they deserve it, but because they’re all working in the industry, so time working on Go Go Boy Interrupted means times away from better paying jobs. The money will also go to renting locations, renting lighting and sound equipment, food for the cast and crew. Also, certain jobs like editors and music composers are really costly. Those two positions will be $17,000 alone. If we didn’t pay our crew, Season 2 wouldn’t be possible.”
