Russell Davies CUCUMBER with Freddie Fox
Fifteen years after Queer As Folk exploded on to the screen, award-winning writer Russell T Davies is back with Cucumber and Banana – two new drama series for Channel 4 and E4 exploring the passions and pitfalls of 21st century gay life. Tofu, a factual web series, is an anarchic online guide to sex inspired by the dramas each week. (Each could come to Showtime).
Cucumber – a series for Channel 4 – follows 46 year old Henry and his long-suffering boyfriend Lance. Life for Henry and Lance is comfortable and settled. But after the most disastrous date night in history – involving a death, a threesome, two police cars and the Glee Christmas Album – Henry’s old life shatters, and his new life begins.
SEXY Cucumber star and PRIDE star FREDDIE FOX recently took the ALS Ice Challenge in his underwear. WATCH
On E4, Banana follows the lives of characters orbiting around Henry in Cucumber. From young lesbian Scotty’s first love, to 19 year old Dean’s mysterious family secrets, Banana covers 50 shades of gay, and beyond.
With the same ferocious wit, startling honesty and heartfelt warmth that made Queer As Folk a landmark series, Cucumber and Banana will explore the heartbreak and joy of modern sex lives – from gay to straight, and anything in between.
Tofu, meanwhile, extends the experience online with eight factual episodes navigating the landscape of 21st Century sex in its own inimitable way. Offering real people the chance to share their unique stories of sexual experiences, Tofu is an anarchic and entertaining look at sex.
Russell T Davies says; “I once read about a scientific institute which had studied the male erection. It divided the hard-on into four categories, from soft to hard. One, tofu. Two, peeled banana. Three, banana. And four, cucumber. Right there and then, I knew I had my drama. And it’s a joy to be back with Channel 4 and RED, to tell these stories.”
Patti Labelle and Matt Bomer join Freak Show
American Horror Story is BRILLIANT! I can not wait until the October release of FREAK SHOW!
Veteran singer Patti LaBelle will appear in four episodes of the FX anthology series from co-creators Murphy and Brad Falchuk. LaBelle will play the mother of Gabourey Sidibe’s character, a townie in 1952 Jupiter, Florida who discover the secrets of Twisty the clown killer. Sadly, the Grammy-winner’s part will only require her to act; no singing will be involved.
Creator Ryan Murphy broke the news about MATT BOMER, also joining the show, at EW’s Emmy Party saying he’s excited to reunite once again with the “amazing” actor, who is nominated this year for his performance in The Normal Heart, also directed by Murphy.
“I try to get him to do everything for me,” Murphy told EW. “I sent him a text that said, ‘First right of refusal, here’s the role.’ It’s very…warped.” Murphy said he had to work around Bomer’s schedule filming Magic Mike 2 in order to make the appearance work.
Todd Chrisley says TODAY, I AM NOT GAY
For months, reality star Todd Chrisley has insisted HE IS NOT GAY.
“I don’t believe that being gay is something you should be ashamed of,” he said. “I don’t believe it’s something you should hide. And if I wanted to date someone, I would call you and I would ask you go to dinner with me. But right now, I’m very content in my life with where I am. Today, I’m not gay.”
I have known several men, who at a young age desperately wanted a family and could have sex with men, but preferred men. Does that make them straight? bi?
I don’t care if Todd is on our team or not. (But he IS GAY!) – now that son! WOW! HOT!

Oprah Puts Michael Sams Project on Hold
EARLIER THIS WEEK, Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network announced they were to begin The Michael Sam docu-series …but now it has been put on hold, and for good reasons. It could be very distracting for Sams.
OWN President Erik Logan said:
“After careful consideration and discussion with the St. Louis Rams, ‘The Untitled Michael Sam Project’ has been postponed, allowing Michael the best opportunity to achieve his dream of making the team. OWN is about elevating and empowering people to achieve their best. It’s clear that we, along with the world, recognize the important opportunity that Michael now has in this moment. We will continue to support him in his journey to earn a spot playing for the Rams.”
Cameron Weiss of Empire Athletes, Michael Sam’s agent, added:
“After today’s meeting with the Rams, we collectively feel it is best to postpone the project. This will allow for Michael to have a total focus on football, and will ensure no distractions to his teammates. Everybody involved remains committed to this project and understands its historical importance as well as its positive message.”

HBO Documentary Film “The Battle of amfAR” Premieres December 2nd
THE BATTLE OF AMFAR (premiering on HBO December 2nd at 9pm ET/PT with a sneak preview on HBO 2 on December 1st – World AIDS Day) tells the true story of when AIDS struck and two very different and extraordinary women – Hollywood icon Elizabeth Taylor and research scientist Dr. Mathilde Krim
– joined forces to take a stand and create America’s first AIDS
research foundation, AmfAR.
disease as a worldwide pandemic in desperate need of funding for
scientific research to find a cure. Directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman (HBO’s
Sundance award-winning THE CELLULOID CLOSET and Oscar©-winning COMMON
THREADS: STORIES FROM THE QUILT) and executive produced by fashion
mogul Kenneth Cole, THE BATTLE OF AMFAR chronicles the organization’s history and continuing importance in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
By
tracing the roots of the AIDS pandemic—through the use of new and
archival interviews, news broadcasts, time lapse fluorescence microscopy
and animation—THE BATTLE OF AMFAR educates the viewer on the history of
the stigma of the virus by examining the political and social attitudes
towards those infected since the emergence of the disease. Rife with
poignant interviews from co-founder Dr. Krim, footage of the late
Elizabeth Taylor, and a myriad of scientists, physicians, gay rights and
AIDS activists, THE BATTLE OF AMFAR not only contextualizes and tracks
the creation of the nation’s first AIDS research foundation, but
explores the contributions amfAR has made in the hunt for a cure for
HIV/AIDS. Aileen Getty (Elizabeth Taylor’s former daughter-in-law),
Regan Hofmann (former editor-in-chief of POZ Magazine) and Phil
Wilson (Founder and Executive Director of the Black AIDS Institute) all
bring human elements to the film, furthering the narrative that the
story of HIV/AIDS is a human one. Visit: http://www.thebattleofamfar.

X Factor needs GAY BI TRANS Sensitivity Training
Are gay people Aliens?? WTF??
ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION while watching singing competitions recently (ie X Factor and The Voice) the JUDGES told the female singers to do this or that for the male viewers…and likewise they told male singers to do this of that for the female fans. WHAT? What about the gay fans? Don’t we matter?
Why in this day and age, do we endure these homophobic comments?
Why are not gays people’s feeling considered?
Hunting Season GAY TV
HUNTING
SEASON is a new smash hit comedy series based on the funny and
painfully truthful blog of ALEX, a single gay 20-something in Manhattan,
a smart and successful blogger at Gawker by day, who turns the
spotlight on himself and his friends and starts anonymously writing
about his social life. Based on the wildly popular blog, The Great Cock
Hunt, and the novel of the same title published by Kensington Books.
THE SERIES launched on September 12, 2012 at LogoTV.com with the
UNCENSORED version available for paid download only at huntingseason.tv.
The cast is uber sexy! The show is witty, smart and did I say, sexy?! It has won awards and lots of great press! It looks and feels like REAL TV! It’s not some web series filmed with a cheap camera in someone’s backyard. Over 100 people worked on season one. IT’S QUALITY. It’s gay and real!
have just launched a Kickstarter campaign to ask for your help in
funding a second season. The creator of the show paid for season one
out of his own pocket, and then took out loans to finish it. The sales
of downloads paid back the loans and proved how big the audience was for
the show. But all the conversations we had with networks and
advertisers did not pan out and we must turn to the fans of the show to
make more episodes.”
Must See TV Sunday October 27th on Oprah’s OWN
“OPRAH’S NEXT CHAPTER” – GAY HOLLYWOOD
Sunday, October 27
from 9-10 p.m. ET/PT
Oprah hosts a conversation about being gay
in America with actress/comedienne Wanda Sykes, “Modern Family” star
Jesse Tyler Ferguson and “Scandal” Emmy award-winner Dan Bucatinsky.
The actors share when they knew they were gay,
how they came out, the reactions from family members and the process of
acceptance.
They discuss the state of television and the impact being
gay has had on their careers in Hollywood. Together they also talk about
parenting, marriage equality and the importance
of role models within the community.
Followed by – “BRIDEGROOM”
Sunday, October 27 from 10 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. ET/PT
“Bridegroom” is a documentary film by
director Linda Bloodworth Thomason (“Designing Women”) that tells the
emotional journey of Shane Bitney Crone and Tom Bridegroom, two young
men in a loving and committed relationship that was
cut tragically short. The story of what happened after Tom’s
accidental death– of how people in relationships without the legal
protections of marriage can find themselves completely shut out and
ostracized by family members – is poignant, thought provoking
and sheds more light on the issue of marriage equality and human
rights.
On the anniversary of Tom’s death, after a
year of documenting his own grief, Shane decided to make a video tribute
to his partner entitled “It Could Happen to You.” The video went viral
and has garnered over four million views.
Although it was a cathartic process for Shane and a tribute to the
love of his life, more than anything, he wanted it to serve as a warning
to other LGBT couples, and to show the world what can happen when two
people are legally barred from having equal rights
and protections that are granted to others under marriage laws.
The film has earned numerous accolades,
including audience awards at the TriBeca Film Festival, where it was
introduced by President Bill Clinton, and Outfest Los Angeles Film
Festival. Shane continues to work alongside organizations
including GLAAD and the Human Rights Campaign to promote equality, and
received the Harvey Milk Civil Rights Award in 2012. “Bridegroom” will
be available on DVD on November 19, 2013.
Wentworth Miller is GAY!!!! And he Won’t go to Russia!
The sexy star of Prison Break actor Wentowrth Miller came out of the closet today in a letter to the St. Petersburg International Film Festival declining an invitation to appear there.
Wrote Miller in a letter published on GLAAD’s website:
Thank you for your kind invitation. As
someone who has enjoyed visiting Russia in the past and can also claim a
degree of Russian ancestry, it would make me happy to say yes.
However, as a gay man, I must decline.
I
am deeply troubled by the current attitude toward and treatment of gay
men and women by the Russian government. The situation is in no way
acceptable, and I cannot in good conscience participate in a celebratory
occasion hosted by a country where people like myself are being
systematically denied their basic right to live and love openly.
Perhaps, when and if circumstances improve, I’ll be free to make a different choice.
Said GLAAD spokesman Wilson Cruz: “Wentworth’s bold show of support
sends a powerful message to LGBT Russians: you are not alone. “As people
from across the globe continue to speak out against this horrific law,
more celebrities and corporations should follow his courageous lead in
openly condemning Russia’s anti-LGBT law.”
During his time acting on Prison Break, Miller repeatedly denied he was gay. He was also tied to actor Luke McFarlane.

Bill O’Reilly Gives Full Support to Gay Marriage
I was never a fan of Bill O’Reilly….until now. His views were always too far right and I thought he was sort of a jerk! He spent years railing against gay activists and belittling gay marriage.
that marriage, like driving a car, is a privilege, not a right. He has
said that if the government felt marriage was a right, then it would not
stop polygamists and incestuous couples from marrying. O’Reilly further explained his position in his book Culture Warrior
“To this culture warrior, gay marriage is not a vital issue. I don’t
believe the republic will collapse if Larry marries Brendan. However, it
is clear that most Americans want heterosexual marriage to maintain its
special place in American society. And as long as gays are not
penalized in the civil arena, I think the folks should make the call at
the ballot box. Traditional marriage is widely seen as a social
stabilizer, and I believe that is true.”
On March 26, 2013, O’Reilly stated “I support civil unions, I always
have. The gay marriage thing, I don’t feel that strongly about it one
way or the other. I think the states should do it.” O’Reilly then said,
“The compelling argument is on the side of homosexuals … ‘We’re
Americans, we just want to be treated like everybody else.‘ That’s a
compelling argument, and to deny that you’ve got to have a very strong
argument on the other side. And the other side hasn’t been able to do
anything but thump the Bible.”
The Hollywood Reporter quizzed
FOX News host Bill O’Reilly about his remarks during the Supreme Court
marriage hearings that the “compelling argument is on the side of
homosexuals” and that “Bible thumpers” are losing.
Asked if he stood by those remarks, O’Reilly said that marriage
should be left to the states. Asked if he supports DOMA repeal, O’Reilly
said Congress should do whatever they want.
Marie Osmond talks Sons Suicide and Marriage Equality for Gays
The tide is changing on public opinion for gay marriage. TIME magazine did a huge article and cover this week about the public opinion shift on gay marriage.
Marie Osmond tells Diane Sawyer she believes in marriage equality:
“The God that I believe in is a god of love, not fear. I don’t tell
my children if you’re not good you’re going to Hell. I tell my children
that God will be there for them when they struggle. That’s the God I
believe in...I believe in [my lesbian daughter’s] civil rights, as a
mother. I think my daughter deserves everything that she desires in
life. She’s a good girl. She’s a wonderful child. I don’t think God made
one color flower. I think he made many...”
Mad Mens Jon Hamm Talks Sixth Season
Season 6 premiere is just days away on AMC, and that means
we’re tantalizingly close to discovering what’s happened to Don Draper
and company since we saw them last.
sat down for a roundtable discussion about what’s happened to Don so
far and what’s ahead (although he remained tight-lipped about any
possible spoilers). Here are five highlights of that discussion.
Others are talking about the tight fitting clothes of the 60’s he will be wearing, via NYDN Confidential:
An AMC insider tells Confidenti@l that
during filming of the sixth season of the hit show — when the ’60s-style
clothing was a tight fit — Hamm was politely instructed by a staffer at
the network to please wear underwear while shooting his scenes.
“This
season takes place in the 1960s, where the pants are very tight and
leave little to the imagination,” a source tells us. “Jon’s impressive
anatomy is so distracting that they politely insisted on underwear.”
AMC’s marketing team had to Photoshop certain areas, according to their source:
“His privates are the inside joke. (Hamm)
knows what he’s got. Imagine how distracting that would be on the side
of a bus or building.”
The photo above shows he’s not a fan of underwear. It’s well documented.
Still, the show doesn’t want people talking about it:
A rep for Hamm said: “It is ridiculous
and not really funny at all. I’d appreciate you taking the high road and
not resorting to something childish like this that’s been blogged about
1,000 times.”
