Christmas with the Queens – Lady Bunny and Jackie Beat Holiday Shows

Two of our favorite queens have holiday streaming specials this month!

“What Child Is This?” with Lady Bunny  features:

4 WIGS, 7 COSTUMES and 20 SONGS!
45 MINUTES OF LAUGHS!
AND CHEAPER PRODUCTION VALUE THAN 1980s MANHATTAN PUBLIC ACCESS CABLE TV!
WITH CHEAP $9.95 TICKETS, TOO!

Expect new holiday parodies, a dreadful puppet, and a “glamorous” intro video shot all over Manhattan. Laugh and hiss at my scandalous new version of ’Twas The Night Before Christmas—this year, it’s at the White House! And a few other tricks Lady Bunion has up her ba-rum-pa-pa-pum!

“What Child Is This” is adult content for those who love to laugh at twisted shit! Don’t watch with kids, but it is a guaranteed way to horrify prudish or religious relatives. In the show, I also offer an unorthodox solution to those awkward, family political convos around the holidays.

Co-written by Beryl Mendelbaum
Shot & Edited By Mikhail Torich
Special appearance by Chauncey Dandridge as Bitter Gay Sound Man

Not a live event, so you can view it on demand through Jan 4th.

Bianca del Rio and Lady Bunny on Hateful Hags Network

Hateful, sassy and sometimes lewd and crude!   Lady Bunny and Bianca Del Rio team up for a  Vimeo event called  HATEFUL HATES NETWORK.

(From INSTINCT Magazine)- For drag performers, performing during these challenging times has proven to cause performers to be beyond inventive. From shows direct from their living rooms to Brandon Voss’ Drive ‘N Drag nationwide series, queens have managed to keep their art alive and thriving during this time. Sherry Vine & Jackie Beat for example, have continued their famed Battle of the Bitches shows live online, (the most recent was the Halloween themed Battle of the Witches) and another famed duo is about to hit our small screens with their own patented brand of twisted comedy.

Legendary Wigstock creator/DJ/drag legend Lady Bunny and RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6 winner turned stand up drag sensation Bianca Del Rio are co-anchoring HHN: Hateful Hags Network, a roast/cable news channel hybrid, where they will be delivering everything from filthy jokes to a a musical number, in only the way this duo can. They promise equal opportunity hate for RuPaul’s Drag Race queens from all seasons, tossing in some costume changes and…a surprise guest?

Lady Bunny exclusively tells EW “Enough with COVID and politics. It’s time for something really important… back-stabbing drag queens!”  while Bianca Del Rio adds: “Due to COVID, some ‘Drag Race’ queens have opened OnlyFans accounts. Bunny and I would never do that. Not because of any moral objections — because we’re ugly!”

Tune in to ‘HHH: Hateful Hags Network’ on Thursday, November 12th at 8PM EST. Tickets are $9.99 at Vimeo.

WAP? Lady Bunny and Flotilla Debarge DAP NSFW

WARNING   NSFW!!! #Raunchy!

By now you have no doubt seen  Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s   WAP!

If you thought Cardi B’s  smash WAP was raunchy, wait until you hear the brand new parody version, DAP. Drag legends Lady Bunny and Flotilla DeBarge make their rap debut, and the result is so smoking hot and dry that even though they live in NYC, this video may have caused the California wildfires.

While their vajayjays may be dry, their humor is not, and fans have been howling over the unrelentlessly filthy lyrics. The video’s gotten thumbs up from Margaret Cho and Bridget Everett, with shares from Drag Race royalty, Detox, Manila Luzon and Jujubee.

Released Friday, already 90,000 views on Instagram and 40,000 on Facebook. So grab some lotion or lube and enjoy this end of summer celebration of wrongness and dry ass pussy!

Please have a therapist on hand after viewing.

LADY BUNNY – With her glitzy outfits, sky-high wigs and false eyelashes long enough to embarrass Tammy Faye Baker, multi-talented drag artist Lady Bunny would turn heads even if looking glamorous was her only talent. But “she” isn’t just another man in a dress: Bunny is a successful comedienne, DJ, actress, singer/songwriter and most famously, the emcee and creator of Wigstock, the outrageous drag festival of drag and music which electrified New Yorkers every Labor Day for over 20 years.

FLOTILLA DEBARGE – is a drag queen based in New York City.

She has appeared in To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar and the miniseries version of Angels in America. She has appeared on Broadway in The Threepenny Opera and performed a one-“woman” show, The Flotilla DeBarge Minstrel Show at Fez Under Time Cafe.

“I was born in Warsaw, Poland.  The apple of my parents eye! I was raised on a farm and later went to work in my dads sausage factory.  That is where I met Stanley in high school and where we went to prom.   He was nice but I knew I needed something bigger, it must of been from being around all of that sausage.  I wanted to go to America.” Wendy tells us.

“After saving enough money, I flew to Chicago and realized I had no place to stay.   I called my cousin Rich and moved in with him.”

“I know America is the land of opportunity and I was excited to make it big.  I dyed my hair black to fit in and have a different look.   But then some woman, Mrs. Richfield told me I was moving in on her scene.   I went back to my natural color and started doing all kinds of odd jobs.  Cleaning rooms at a hotel on Halsted called Steamworks, to cleaning the rooms at the Elysium Hotel in Mykonos.   I kind of became a big thing and I’m not talking about my boobs!”

Summer Drag Camp – Camp Wannakiki

The premise is simple… take eight drag queens to see who can last the week at an actual Summer Camp and claim the crown “Queen of Camp!” CAMP WANNAKIKI is a new drag reality show airing on YouTube.

This hilarious new show features eight of the campiest campers in the Midwest (O’laysia Prime, Dominique DeGrant, VajayJ Snappinturtle, Pagan Holladay, Sylvia Nixx, Alexis P Bevels, Muffy Fishbasket and C’est Kevvie), along with kooky Camp Counselor Dear Ruthie and Camp Directors Apple Brown Betty and Cherry Pi!

Each episode reprises a day at camp, where campers perform various activities best suited for 10 year olds, as opposed to grown-ass drag queens. Tune in for the hilarity that ensues!

This entertaining competition keeps the focus on fun and friendship, while giving drama and backstabbing the cold shoulder, as was the goal of creators and producers Ashley and Brandon Wright.

The Wrights are real life twin brothers and drag life twin sisters Apple Brown Betty and Cherry Pi Sugarbaker. The twins are also co-owners of Hamburger Mary’s International, and were recently featured on the hit CBS show “Undercover Boss.” Going on 20 locations, Mary’s is known not only for their gourmet burgers, but also for putting on great drag shows across the country.

Dive into the modern games of love.

“365 Days of Love Letters,” an episodic romantic drama, follows two Millennial best friends who embark on a path of self-discovery, chronicling romance, heartbreak, and rebirth through the lens of technology. Together, the two face addiction to love, security, and fantasy. Join the movement to make a new series come to life.

With Chris Salvatore (the Eating Out series), RJ Aguiar (social media pioneer), and Caitlainne Gurreri (Grey’s Anatomy, All My Children) headlining the show, this new series is generating buzz already and has begun to attach several key players who round out the team across acting, producing, marketing, fashion, and music. From the team alone, we have cumulatively generated over 13 million YouTube views, 2 million Facebook fans, 405K Instagram followers, 171K YouTube subscribers, and 169K Twitter followers. Created by Kyle Thomas and produced by Jessica Bryant, the show was shot by Jessica Ramos (worked on Breaking BadHail, Caesar!, and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty) and will be scored by powerhouse Craig J Snider (worked with Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, and Kelly Clarkson). Craig J Snider will also produce three pop singles that will be released in connection with the series.

What They Need & What You Get

We are looking for $50,000 in finishing funds to complete the first season. All funding will be going to cover the costs of equipment, rentals, food for our actors and crew on set, production expenses, and post-production. We believe in building a community that lives and breathes stories that are raw, authentic, and intimate. We want you to become a part of our series — a part of our journey — and share your own love letters in the process. We have many different perks, ranging from original music, personalized calls from the cast and crew, as well as ways to bring your own art into the series.

Other Ways You Can Help

While we understand that not everyone has the ability to donate, we appreciate each and every person who supports our team and story by spreading the word about our series. Whether that’s by sharing this Indiegogo on your social media, hashtagging #Our365Letters, or telling your friends about the show/trailer, your support means the entire world.

Lesbian Couple Conquering Social Media

We recently discovered these lesbian vloggers, who have been creating YouTube  content for some time now! They recently relocated to Chicago. They create new  vlogs as frequently as possible,  plus unscripted comedy, challenges, travel and entrepreneurship videos, and LGBT advice content. Vegetarians and devoted moms to their kitten, Mumford.

Well it looks like you moved here from Iowa? How long have you been here in Chicago?

Yeah! We moved to the city in July and have loved every minute of it so far!

What brought you here?

Besides the appeal of a vibrant city with so much energy and activity, we were attracted to the opportunities to advance our career goals. There’s such a great LGBTQ+ community here that we love and we do a lot of traveling, so it’s a great centrally located hub with a big airport! There are, of course, it’s other perks: deep dish pizza, the amazing Chicago sports teams, and tons of vegan restaurants for us to try out!

How long have you been together?

We have been together for 5 and a half years! It’s been such a crazy ride, but we’ve loved exploring the world and starting a business together. It’s so special that we get to share our relationship online to help so many other people and document the things we do together.

How long have you been doing videos?

We started making videos in March of 2015. At that time we wanted to start a channel as a way to have a creative outlet and a place to practice our cinematography and editing skills, because of our interest in film. As we started to pick up a following, we realized that we really had an opportunity to share some of the difficult experiences we’ve been through with coming out, self acceptance, etc with our audience. We began to share our stories online and have since been able to help literally thousands of people who send us messages and use our channel as a resource for similar struggles. Our videos have led us across the world to countries in Europe and the Caribbean to create travels films, vlogs and attend conventions for YouTube creators. We would love to see one of these conventions come to Chicago someday!

Besides vlogging, do you both do other work in Chicago?

We both have small part time jobs within the city, but what we spend the most of our time doing and what we love the most is our work on YouTube and other social platforms. Being in Chicago has already afforded us some opportunities to attend events and get involved locally using our videos. We’re looking forward to continuing to grow that more and more!

Will & Grace RETURN! Sneak Peaks

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG
It’s almost here….I don’t  want summer  to fly  by….but I kind of  do!

NBC’s “Will & Grace” returns for a 12-episode run beginning this Fall.

Original series creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan will serve as writers, show-runners and executive producers. Legendary director James Burrows, who helmed every episode of the show during its initial eight-year run, will direct and executive produce.

For you YOUNGIN’S, who only  know who RuPaul is and her drag race, THIS AMAZING SHOW was broadcast on NBC from September 21, 1998 to May 18, 2006, for a total of eight seasons. The show was the highest-rated sitcom among adults 18–49, from 2001 and 2005.

But, what is more important, is THIS SHOW,

shaped public opinion, of  gay people!

Vice President Joe Biden made history on NBC’s Meet the Press this morning, becoming the highest-ranking U.S. official to openly endorse equal marriage rights for gay and lesbian citizens. In explaining his thinking, Biden credited Will & Grace — NBC’s hit situation comedy about a gay man and his straight, female best friend that ran on the network from 1998 to 2006 — as having done more to shift public perception on the issue than anything else.

Throughout its eight-year run, Will & Grace earned 16 Emmy Awards and 83 nominations. All four stars each received an Emmy Award throughout the series, making it one of only three sitcoms in the award’s history to achieve this feat. In 2014 the Writers Guild of America placed the sitcom at number 94 in their list of the 101 Best Written TV series of all time.

SIR JET aka Joel Evan Tye

SIR JET!

Singer Joel Evan Tye aka Sir JET.

The mysterious and alluring gender-bending Sir JET aka Joel Evan Tye is a popstar like no other. With his super-hero body and love for skin tight costumes and anime, he is what has been referred to as “Nick Lachey meets Ziggy Stardust.” The online article “The Boy Who Talked Like a Girl,” is the story of JET’s childhood struggle with gender anxiety that lead him to become an agoraphobic mute for almost a decade to only rediscover his voice again at age 20 and become the man you see today.

JET’s mission in life is to help people who struggle with their identity and to encourage them to find their true selves by going within like he did. In addition to being referred to as the “Madonna Crotch” by Patti Stanger when he appeared on BRAVO’s last season of Millionaire Matchmaker, JET is also a heavily sought after model, including appearing on the boxes of LASC’s first line of underwear, and modeling for Mike Ruiz’s Pretty Masculine series a total of four times.

About 5 years ago, he did an EP,  a collection of songs with themes based on concepts from his book I’m Enough: How to Live Life Like a Popstar and Find Your True Self in the Process.  You can get his highly popular and dance-able  “Shout-out to the Lonely”  on iTunes.  Watch the video  on  YouTube.

What is a popstar?

A popstar is a person who embodies all the qualities we love: they always look their best, behave with total confidence in everything they do, and exert a sense of love to all they come in contact with. This book is about how to discover how you can become a popstar in your own right, physically, mentally, and spiritually.

I’m Enough will give you the skills to embrace everyday as a chance to express yourself while finding the beauty in everything you do and everyone you meet. If you’ve ever felt like you weren’t good enough to do the things your heart desired, if you’ve ever felt like you weren’t good enough to make friends because you were too different, or if you ever felt like you just can’t win, this book will help you see that all you need to do, is shift your perception. The material in this book is everything I have learned over the course of my life about humanity and the self, and what I could do so that little by little, everyday, I would become more and more inline with the universe and my true purpose. I’ve discovered that I am good enough to do the things I want to do, be the person I want to be, and now I want to show you how to as well.

He explores many soul searching topics on his YouTube channel. Happiness;  Depressions issues, Finding joy; Mending a broken heart, etc.

“I am a role-model for youth who are in need of a male celebrity who embodies the masculine and feminine energies they wish to express themselves. The idea is that the struggle we have with equality in our society started when somewhere along the road of life we were taught to feel unequal. I wish to help people see that the path to equality starts from within, coming to terms with the male and female energies we all possess.

Sir Jet has some idea’s and wants to get back in the studio!

“Every day came another story about the Drumpf Administration being anti-LGBT—and I thought, ‘Wow, they are really trying to erase us,’” Rivera Jr. explains. “But instead of getting angry, I decided to use the amazing lyrics of this song to say, ‘I’m not going anywhere. You can’t erase me when all I want is love. All we do as a community is love. And none of us are going anywhere because of your petty intolerance and hate.’

I’m A Gay Catfish – And Just Want to be Loved

Vlogger Davey Wavey put out a call for a gay “catfish” several months ago. For those unfamiliar with the term, which originated in a 2010 documentary by Nev Schulman about people who use other people’s photos to establish fake identities in order to carry on online relationships with strangers. In the documentary, and subsequent MTV series, producers seek out the catfish and out them in the company of their targets.

Wavey has posted a video of an interview with a man who confesses to being a catfish.

Writes Wavey to Towleroad: “I found him by reaching out to guys who catfish through a Facebook post.  Rather than vilify these guys, my intent was to explore their motivation and logic.  Overwhelmingly, many of these men told me that they feel invisible. And if they don’t catfish, they’d have no interaction with other gay men. Rather than be angry or outraged at these men for wasting our time or playing games, it may be more productive to question the role that each of us plays in making these men feel invisible.

The catfish said that he made a fake profile using the photo of a guy he’d been following on Instagram with a “gorgeous” body and face. His motivation was to get attention from men who would normally see him as invisible because he is overweight.

Neil Patrick Harris in New York City

neil-patrick-harris-new-york-city

This year marks the monumental 10-year anniversary of (RED).

It is astonishing that in 2005, 1200 babies were born every day with HIV.  In 2015, that number was cut by two-thirds to 400.

Playing a role in this pivotal fight and extraordinary anniversary, Neil Patrick Harris is partnering with Coca-Cola and (RED) to help bring additional awareness to this cause.

Beginning today, you can head over to Omaze.com/NPH to donate.   A $10 donation will get you 100 entries for Neil’s exclusive experience.  One lucky winner + guest will join Neil and his husband for a fun night out in New York City!  In addition to getting flown out and staying in a 4-star hotel, the winner will catch a Broadway show with the couple and grab dinner at one of Neil’s favorite spots in the city.

Donations can be made at many levels and include additional campaign perks – anything from a (RED) campaign shirt to signed merchandise from Neil himself.  Coca-Cola will also match every dollar raised by Neil Patrick Harris’ campaign this year, up to $2million.

HOUSE OF WALLENBERG TEAMS UP WITH YO MAJESTY AND LADY BUNNY

PROCEEDS FROM THE NEW SONG WILL GO TO THE PULSE ORLANDO FUND, SUPPORTING THE FAMILIES AND VICTIMS OF THE RECENT NIGHTCLUB SHOOTING

Swedish artist, DJ and producer Petter Wallenberg (aka House of Wallenberg) has teamed up with Jwl B from queer rappers Yo Majesty, and drag superstar Lady Bunny on a new song ‘Keep on Dancing (Until We’re Free)’. The track has been recorded specifically for the Pulse Orlando Fund, in support of the families and victims of the massacre at took place at Pulse Nightclub on June 12.

Petter Wallenberg said: “Queer clubs used to be safe spaces where we could be free. The Orlando shooting changed that. Now when we go out we find ourself prepared for the worst. But its important to not let fear win. As our song says, we need to keep on dancing, loving and fighting. This is our tribute to the Orlando victims but also a manifest for everyone’s right to be free.”

Jwl B said: “I’m from Florida and I lost friends and family from the gay community in the Orlando massacre. I felt I had to do something positive to bring happiness and create a fund raiser. I say to all my angels that lost their lives that we’re gonna keep on dancing until were free.”

Lady Bunny said: “The gay community has remained strong in the face of discrimination, bashing and AIDS. While the shooting at Pulse was grim, it renewed our desire to bond together and fight. A big part of our spirit comes from a club culture in which we gather to dance and celebrate the freedoms we do have. That will never die!”

GAREK Does Disney and Nick Jonas

garek james wisconsin gay singer disney

LOOK  OUT!   GAREK   HAS ARRIVED!

After moving to New York City with big musical dreams, Wisconsin-born Garek scored an internship at a music production house writing and singing demos for the likes of Disney and Nickelodeon — fun, right?!

Well, not quite.

He tells  QUEERTY “I was tired of making music for the machine,” Garek explains. “So, instead of feeding the machine, I set out to starve it. For ‘Goddamn Dizzy Kids’, I used the formulas I was privy to as a ghostwriter (big, bouncy choruses, bright, catchy hooks and contemptible, chantey nonsense), but used it in a way that allowed me to spread my message. I refuse to settle for the sea of mediocrity that has become the standard for this generation’s music.”  –  read more  at  QUEERTY.

Stop the Hate: 49 Celebrities Honor 49 Victims of Orlando Tragedy in Ryan Murphy-Produced Tribute

For too long, a toxic combination of anti-LGBTQ hate and easy access to guns has put LGBTQ people at disproportionate risk of violence and murder. On June 12, forty-nine innocent people — most of them Latinx — were killed at Pulse nightclub in Orlando simply because of who they were. It’s on all of us to keep their memories alive, and to ensure part of their legacy becomes meaningful action to end hate violence. Join the Human Rights Campaign and urge your legislator to support legislation that will ensure LGBTQ people are safe and equal in every community and find out how to support the survivors and families of the Orlando victims.
