Christian Gamer Creates Kill the Faggots Game

Kill-The-Faggot

Kill The Faggot’ is a shooting gallery style video game that awards points for the number of gay and transgender people players shoot dead while deducting points for any heterosexuals killed.

Online gaming website Steam have removed a controversial video game from availability after complaints were made about it’s violent homophobic and transphobic content by users.

‘Kill The Faggot’ was created and uploaded by Skaldic Games to Steam’s Steam Greenlight section which allows game developers to showcase their games and let the Steam user community decide which ones they want to be made commercially available through Steam.

Steam does not actively vet games for offensive content but developers must pay $100 to get their game onto Steam Greenlight as a quality control barrier.

The game description for ‘Kill The Faggot’ read ‘Hate gays? Want to unleash your frustration with the “LGBT” community? Well now is your chance.’

‘Murder gays and transgenders [sic] while avoiding killing straight people. Get points before time runs out.’

The game contains what Skaldic Games describes as ‘lots of fully voiced lowbrow innuendos’ which includes a transgender character shouting ‘you want to chop [off] my wiener?’ and gay men are labelled in the game ‘AIDS carriers’ to be ‘eliminated.’

Players are awarded 100 points for each ‘gay fag homos killed’ and 150 points for each ‘transgender freaks killed.’

Randall Hermann whose  Twitter page notes that he is a “composer, 3D artist, game programmer/designer, skateboarder, and follower of Jesus Christ.” His IMDb page lists a number of video game credits.claims he made the game to “prove a point”

Hermann wrote: “These people that think if you are even remotely homophobic, you are ‘hateful’ and a ‘bigot,’ and do everything they can to destroy you in every vicious way possible. So I decided to go down a path that most developers are afraid to go down: to piss these people off by making the most overly offensive game possible to these idiots to prove a point.”

Skaldic Games are claiming that the game was not intended to encourage hatred or violence towards LGBTI people but to protest political correctness in the gaming industry by making the ‘most overly offensive game possible to these idiots to prove a point.’

‘As for an apology – ain’t gonna happen,’ Skaldic Games wrote in a statement in response to their game being pulled from Steam.

‘To everyone that got overly offended. Good, that’s what we were going for. Just wait for our next game we are working on, its gonna be way more offensive as this one [sic].’

The game is still available for people to download on the Skaldic Games website.

Brokeback Mountain Writers to tell New Tearjerker

joe bell oregon father gay son

IN 2013 Openly gay teen Jadin Bell from Oregon hung himself two weeks ago after being pushed to do so by bullies at his school and on the Internet. Bell was just 15 years old.

His father Joe Bell began a trek across the country to educate young people about the effects of bullying and homophobia.

As he made his way across the country, Joe Bell walked through rain squalls, slept in ditches and talked to anyone who would listen about how his gay son had killed himself after being taunted and bullied at school.

Mr. Bell’s artificial knees ached and his feet were mapped with blisters, but he told friends and strangers that he was determined to make it on foot from his home in eastern Oregon to New York City, where his son, Jadin, 15, had dreamed of one day working in fashion or photography. “I miss my son Jadin with all my heart and soul,” he wrote on Facebook in late May. “I know you’re with me on this walk.”

Within  a few months Joe was tragically struck and killed by a semi truck while on his nation-wide walk in October of 2013. Heart wrenching story.   Mr. Bell’s American journey — one that drew attention from local newspapers and attracted thousands of followers on social media — ended in an instant on a two-lane road in rural eastern Colorado. He was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer whose driver had apparently fallen asleep, the state police said.

This amazing story  is currently being penned by Brokeback Mountain screenwriters Diana Ossana and Larry McMurtry, Deadline reports.

A24 is producing with Fukunaga’s Parliament of Owls production company, Daniela Taplin Lundberg and Riva Marker of Red Crown Productions, and Eva Maria Daniels of VisionChaos Productions. Red Crown’s Daniel Crown will executive produce.

Born This Way Foundation and YALE

born-this-way-foundation-YALE

Today, the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, in partnership with Born This Way Foundation, launched the Emotion Revolution initiative to build awareness of the critical role emotions play in young people’s learning, decision-making, and overall wellness.

The initiative will begin with an unprecedented online survey of high-school age youth nation-wide, exploring how young people feel, how they want to feel, and how to bridge the gap between the two. This data will strengthen the scientific understanding of how to most effectively build positive school climates and empower young people with the emotional tools they need to lead happy, healthy, and productive lives. The survey is available at EmotionRevolution.org beginning today, April 9, 2015.

Results from the survey will be presented at the Emotion Revolution Summit in October. Hosted at Yale University, the Summit will feature youth participants from around the country as well as special guests, including Yale President Peter Salovey, Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence Director Marc Brackett, and Born This Way Foundation Co-Founders Cynthia Germanotta and Lady Gaga.

The summit will serve as a platform to unveil the findings of the study as well as offer youth the opportunity to share their ideas for creating improved learning environments with key educators, academics, and policy makers. A major goal of the summit is to create momentum around the national social and emotional learning (SEL) movement and to provide youth and educators with the resources they need to accelerate positive changes in their schools and communities.

The need for an Emotion Revolution has never been greater. Far too many young people today are feeling overwhelmed, isolated, and bored. According to the American Psychological Association, for the first time high school-age youth are feeling more stressed than adults. Left unchecked, such emotions can impair mental and physical health, interfere with learning, and hinder prospects for future success. The Emotion Revolution is dedicated to helping to reverse these trends.

“Born This Way Foundation is excited to partner with the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence on this important initiative,” said Cynthia Germonatta, Co-Founder and President of Born This Way Foundation. “Our organizations are dedicated to empowering young people in order to make the world a kinder and braver place. This survey is a fundamental step towards accomplishing that goal.”

“Emotions drive learning, decision making, relationships, and health. Research has shown us repeatedly that the skills of emotional intelligence profoundly impact a person’s ability to thrive – academically, personally, and professionally,” said Marc Brackett, Director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence. “The Emotion Revolution survey will allow us to take the emotional temperature of young people around the country, improving our understanding of how to best equip them with the tools they need to succeed in every facet of life.”

Oakland A’s Support Gays!

oakland a lgbt gay night california

Oakland Athletics pitcher Sean Doolittle and his girlfriend, Eireann Dolan, stepped in to head off what she described as a negative response to the team’s first LGBT Pride Night this coming season, the San Jose Mercury News reported.

Late last week, Dolan offered to buy tickets for the A’s June 17th game against San Diego, saying several season ticket holders were refusing to attend and trying to sell their tickets because they were uncomfortable with the event.

“If you’d like to sell your tickets to June 17th’s LGBT Pride Night game, I will buy them from you at face value. As many as I can. No judgments. No questions asked,” she wrote on her blog. “From there, I will donate any tickets I purchase to the Bay Area Youth Center’s Our Space community for LGBTQ youth.”

She revealed in the post that her biological mother is part of a same-sex couple living in San Diego.

“In fact I’m starting to suspect that the Athletics focus-grouped this event idea with just my two moms and nobody else,” she wrote. “It couldn’t be any more perfectly tailored to my moms than if the team announced that NPR’s Terry Gross will also be throwing out the first pitch and there will be a free notepad giveaway on which my moms can write down all of the reasons I should have majored in something more practical in college.”

On Monday, Dolan said, Doolittle agreed to match her donations up to $3,000. She also started an online fundraising campaign to purchase more seats to donate to the youth center group.

Gays Discriminate Against Christians

gays-against-christians

WHAT IF ….gays  discriminated  against Christians?  We quit doing there flowers, we quit cutting their  hair, we don’t serve them drinks or food in bars or restaurants, we don’t  provide ANY SERVICES FOR THEM?!

This is Truth Wins Out’s second video in its “Religious Freedom Farce” campaign, which highlights the real-world consequences of laws that purport to protect religious liberty, when in reality they only promote exclusion. In our new video, we show how such laws can open a can of worms and backfire on the “Christian” sponsors of such bills.

“If LGBT people can be discriminated against based on faith, so can Christians,” said Truth Wins Out Executive Director Wayne Besen. “There are millions of Americans who are not Christian and may abuse these laws to exclude people based on their Christian beliefs. This, of course, would be unacceptable and wrong, but one of the many unintended consequences of these divisive laws that promote prejudice.”

In our latest ad, a gay man who runs a theater company forbids a Christian from buying tickets to a show after he sees a cross hanging from his neck. Citing the “Church of Harvey Fierstein,” he directs the Christian to go to a theater that shows “Passion of the Christ.” This is a plausible example of what could occur under such ridiculous bills that allow the gutting of anti-discrimination laws based on declarations of “sincere” faith. The video dramatization was created for Truth Wins Out by Chicago-based performance artist Eric Clements and filmmaker Ben Nissen.

“We are actually putting judges in the untenable position of deciding whose faith is sincere and whose is not,” said Truth Wins Out’s Executive Director Wayne Besen. “These laws also violate separation of church and state, because courts will be required to decide which religions are real and which are concocted for the sole purpose of discrimination. But doesn’t that unconstitutionally create ‘acceptable’ state sponsored religions, while others are decaled officially unacceptable?”

The first ad in our campaign, “Religious Freedom Café,” takes these “religious freedom” bills to their logical conclusion. It focuses on an African American man who is told to leave a restaurant because serving black people is against the owner’s religious beliefs.   WATCH  NOW

#TheGaySweater Project

the-gay-sweater-project

You’ve probably heard it, if not said it yourself, but you’ll be certain to think twice about using a phrase like “that sweater is so gay” after hearing this story. A one-of-a-kind, first-ever, truly ‘gay sweater’ will be unveiled today during Toronto Fashion Week. What makes it gay? It is custom knit from the donated hair of more than 100 LGBT people committed to changing the way the word “gay” is used in society today.

gay-hair-sweater-project

Debuting just in time, ahead of this summer’s upcoming Pride Week celebrations in Toronto, New York, San Francisco and London, The Gay Sweater was created by the Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity (CCGSD) to spark a rich dialogue on what makes something ‘gay’. Through #TheGaySweater project, they hope people will understand that it is incorrect and offensive to use language like ‘that’s so gay’ to negatively describe something.

A short film showcasing the inspiration behind this #TheGaySweater and the making of this unusual piece can be viewed here: thegaysweater.ccgsd-ccdgs.org

This is pretty cool!

More Supporters #BoycottDolceGabbana

andy cohens dolce gabbana suit

They say any publicity is good publicity…but in the case of Dolce and Gabbana, they must be regretting their comments  right about now!  The public  backlash has been huge!

Bravo host Andy Cohen, who just announced the launch of his own SiriusXM channel, had a special message on the Monday, March 16 episode of Watch What Happens Live! in regards to the comments.

“As a gay man, I’ve seen my friends given an incredible opportunity to create very real families,” Cohen, 46, said. “There’s nothing ‘synthetic’ about any of the kids that call me Uncle Andy. So in the interest of making things a little better, I brought this from my own closet.”

Cohen then pulled out a 2014 black wool Dolce & Gabbana suit, declaring his intention to auction it off and donate all of the proceeds to the Family Equality Council.

“Even though I love this suit, it wouldn’t be fun for me to wear it again,” he said. “But it will be so much fun for me to have you wear it, knowing we were able to support an amazing cause while also screwing Dolce & Gabbana out of at least one sale.”

The suit, which retails for between $1,100 and $2,000, is being auctioned on eBay with a current bid of around $3,500.

Madonna   said   on Instagram:All babies contain a soul however they come to this earth and their families. There is nothing synthetic about a soul!! So how can we dismiss IVF and surrogacy? Every soul comes to us to teach us a lesson. God has his hand in everything even technology! We are arrogant to think Man does anything on his own. As above so below! Dolce Gabbana Backtrack after Backlash

mr dolce and gabbana

Fashion designer Stefano Gabbana has vigorously defended his criticism of gay adoptions, using social media to create a range of hashtags and slogans – but none have really taken off.

They say, BOYCOTT  ELTON JOHN! In a post Monday Gabbana shouted “Fascist!” and took direct aim at the singer: “#boycotteltonjohn”. On his Instagram account, as you might expect, there was quite a lot of support for his criticism of Elton John among the hundreds of comments.

#SupportDolceGabbana, has around 2,700 tweets. But both are up against #BoycottDolceGabbana which has been used more than 30,000 times.

Singer Ricky Martin, the father of twins born by a surrogate mother, called on the pair to “wake up” in a message on Twitter, admonishing the designers that their voices were too powerful to spread hate.

NOW, Gabbana said in a statement that “it was never our intention to judge other people’s choices. We do believe in freedom and love.”

Dolce says he was expressing his view about family based on his experience growing up in a traditional Sicilian family “made up of a mother, a father and children. I am very well aware of the fact that there are other types of families and they are as legitimate as the one I’ve known.”

Dolce said he was expressing his personal views “without judging other people’s choices.”

Dolce Gabbana Against Gay Adoption

dolce and gabanna gay marriage adoption

In a 2006 interview with an Italian newspaper, Dolce (of Dolce & Gabbana) expressed  views against gays adopting, saying:

“I am opposed to the idea of a child growing up with two gay parents. A child needs a mother and a father. I could not imagine my childhood without my mother. I also believe that it is cruel to take a baby away from its mother.”

NOW,

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana say: ‘The only family is the traditional one’   –  in an interview with Italy’s Panorama magazine.

Sir Elton John has called for a boycott of fashion label Dolce & Gabbana after the legendary designers criticised same-sex families.

In a scathing post on picture sharing site Instagram, the furious singer branded Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana “judgmental” and “archaic”.

It followed an interview with the designers in Italy’s Panorama magazine in which the pair said: “We oppose gay adoptions. The only family is the traditional one.

“No chemical offsprings and rented uterus: life has a natural flow, there are things that should not be changed.”

elton-john-instagram

Dolce added that procreation “must be an act of love”, saying: “You are born to a mother and a father – or at least that’s how it should be.

“I call children of chemistry, synthetic children. Rented uterus, semen chosen from a catalog.”

Gabbana added: “The family is not a fad. In it there is a supernatural sense of belonging.”

How can gay people  say this???? You are in the public eye and gay people buy your clothes!  LIE if you disagree.

An estimated 37% of LGBT adults have had a child and there are an estimated 6 million children with LGBT parents.

Diversity & Inclusion – Love Has No Labels

love-has-no-labels

BRILLIANT!

No wonder this went viral this week! The Ad Council did an excellent job communicating  love is  love.

While the vast majority of Americans consider themselves unprejudiced, many of us unintentionally make snap judgments about people based on what we see—whether it’s race, age, gender, religion, sexuality, or disability. This may be a significant reason many people in the U.S. report they feel discriminated against. Subconscious prejudice—called “implicit bias”—has profound implications for how we view and interact with others who are different from us. It can hinder a person’s ability to find a job, secure a loan, rent an apartment, or get a fair trial, perpetuating disparities in American society. The Love Has No Labels campaign challenges us to open our eyes to our bias and prejudice and work to stop it in ourselves, our friends, our families, and our colleagues.

Death for in sodomy CA

keep-calm-and-kill-gays-1

Is this a publicity stunt?  WTF?

A lawyer in California has submitted a ballot initiative with the state Department of Justice calling for the death of anyone who engages in sodomy in the state, the San Diego Gay & Lesbian News reports.

The proposal by Matt McLaughlin, who lists his address in Huntington Beach, was received by the initiative coordinator at the Office of the Attorney General on Feb. 26. Enclosed was a $200 check and the complete text of his “Sodomite Suppression Act.” The act outlines seven measures relating to those who engage in same-sex sodomy, “a monstrous evil that Almighty God, giver of freedom and liberty, commands us to suppress on pain of our utter destruction even as he overthrew Sodom and Gomorrha.”

McLaughlin recommends punishment by death, even though a judge ruled that California’s death penalty is unconstitutional last June:

Hate in America

hate-and-homophobia

For more than 30 years, Emmy-winning journalist, documentary filmmaker, and Al Jazeera America anchor Tony Harris has reported on senseless and vicious acts of violence, many fueled by intolerance, fear and hate. In the new one-hour special HATE IN AMERICA, Harris partners with The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a non-profit that has been tracking hate groups across the country since 1971, and NBC News’ award-winning production arm Peacock Productions, to examine the current realities of intolerance in America. According to the SPLC, more than 900 active hate groups currently exist across the United States, from neo-Nazis to anti-government militias, targeting entire classes of people for their race, religion, and sexuality, among other immutable characteristics. Largely propagated by anger and fear over the nation’s ailing economy and the diminishing white majority, that number has been on the rise for over a decade. Traveling to communities torn apart by violence, Harris pulls back the curtain on what drives modern-day hate, and comes face to face with its victims to examine HATE IN AMERICA, premiering on Monday, February 23 at 8/7c only on Investigation Discovery (ID).

“Tony Harris’ journey across the country in HATE IN AMERICA is a heart-breaking reminder of the hate that still exists in our country today and, in fact, around the world as we learn of the horrors faced in the recent Sydney hostage situation or the Taliban attack on a Pakistani school,” said Henry Schleiff, Group President of Investigation Discovery, Destination America, American Heroes Channel, Discovery Fit & Health, and Discovery Family Channel. “Despite these setbacks in our pursuit for tolerance, Tony’s fervent investigation in HATE IN AMERICA provides a glimmer of hope that there are undeniable signs of progress, people fighting back, and fighting for our future.”

“I remain deeply moved by the willingness of the people I met to share the stories of how their lives have been changed forever by hate and intolerance,” said Harris. “I can’t imagine anyone being unaffected by these powerful testimonials.”

HATE IN AMERICA features the racially charged murder of a black father in Mississippi who died after being beaten and run over; the gruesome mass shooting of a Wisconsin Sikh congregation; and a brutal anti-gay attack on the streets of New York City. As Harris explores the motivations behind hate, he hears from a spectrum of advocates for change, including victims’ loved ones, community leaders, civil rights attorneys, SPLC’s founder Morris Dees, and even a former white supremacist – who now crusades for unity among the races.

Saks Fifth Avenue Transgender Discrimination

saks-fifth-avenue-transgender-discrimination

I could see WALMART doing this….but  Saks  Fifth Avenue???

Leyth O. Jamal, a transgender woman living in Texas, has filed a federal lawsuit against her former employer, Saks Fifth Avenue, alleging that she was exposed to a hostile working environment at the luxury department store’s Houston-area location, reports local news station KPRC.

In a statement from her attorney, Jamal describes being harassed and belittled by coworkers, being forced to use the men’s restroom, withstanding intentional and repeated use of male pronouns by her coworkers, and ultimately being fired. Following this alleged mistreatment, she filed a claim of workplace discrimination with the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the federal agency that enforces Title VII of the Civil Rights Amendment of 1964, including protecting workers from sex-based discrimination. Full story at ADVOCATE.

Attorneys for the company also blatantly misgendered Jamal in court documents and alleged the retailer isn’t bound by its own nondiscrimination policy, which covers transgender workers.

BuzzFeed reports:

“Saks’ arguments are hugely concerning to us,” the director of HRC’s Workplace Equality Program, Deena Fidas, said in a statement provided to BuzzFeed News. “In its court filings, Saks attempts to secure a motion to dismiss Ms. Jamal’s allegations by simultaneously calling into question the validity of its own non-discrimination policy and the larger, crucial protections afforded by Title VII.”

Regarding its Corporate Equality Index, an effort to alert consumers to pro-LGBT or anti-LGBT policies of companies, Fidas added: “The policies our CEI advances are not window dressings for any company to prop up or disregard in the face of individual allegations of misconduct. Saks is publicly undercutting the applicability of its own policies reported in the CEI and we must suspend Saks’ CEI score until further notice.”

A huge backlash AGAINST  SAKS  has already started.

Gay Movie News – PRIDE

Pride film still

THIS IS  A  MUST SEE MOVIE!   I am pretty good on my gay history, but this is a story I had never heard!

PRIDE is inspired by an extraordinary true story. It’s the summer of 1984, Margaret Thatcher is in power and the National Union of Mineworkers is on strike, prompting a London-based group of gay and lesbian activists to raise money to support the strikers’ families.

Initially rebuffed by the Union, the group identifies a tiny mining village in Wales and sets off to make their donation in person. As the strike drags on, the two groups discover that standing together makes for the strongest union of all.

WHAT I FIND STRANGE  is

The cover for the U.S. DVD release of the movie Pride has removed all mention of homosexuality, reports Pink News.

The original text described the main characters in the movie as a ‘London-based group of gay and lesbian activists.’ This has been changed to ‘London-based activists.’

The U.S. description states: “PRIDE is inspired by an extraordinary true story. It’s the summer of 1984 and much of blue-collar Great Britain is on strike. For one tiny Welsh village, the strike brings unexpected visitors – a group of London-based activists who decide to raise money to support strikers’ families and want to make their donations in person …”

The original description said: “PRIDE is inspired by an extraordinary true story. It’s the summer of 1984, Margaret Thatcher is in power and the National Union of Mineworkers is on strike, prompting a London-based group of gay and lesbian activists to raise money to support the strikers’ families. Initially rebuffed by the Union, the group identifies a tiny mining village in Wales and sets off to make their donation in person …”

Don’t really understand why they doing this……

THE DIRECTOR   SAYS ….”I think someone in the marketing department in the US used their marketing judgement to try to remove any barrier to the widest possible audience,” he went on.  (makes sense).

“It’s clumsily done but I understand it and it’s a valid instinct,” he continued, describing “the nature of marketing” as “over-simplification [and] reductive.”
