We were introduced to Cedric Martinez, Lisa Vanderpump’s young, hot, and gay live-in house guest/personal trainer, from the very first episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.  

We laughed along as Lisa’s husband, Ken Todd, said something along the lines of, “He better be gay” as we watched Lisa and Cedric do everything from fold laundry to work out together.

But we weren’t satisfied with Lisa’s nonchalant explanation of her “weird” relationship with Cedric. What exactly is weird? And how did he end up living with the Todd-Vanderpumps? Not every personal trainer — no matter how often the customer works out — moves in with their clientele…

Well, in one interview, Cedric claims he has known the Vanderpump family for more than 15 years. He says Lisa told him about the show prior to filming, but he didn’t say if Lisa asked him to move in after spilling the beans, or if he’d lived there prior.

When asked what he does for the family, Cedric is very vague: “I am me,” he says, and adds, “They’re like my family.”  We come to see him help out at one of the couple’s restaurants. But other than that, he doesn’t seem to do much else.  One thing we do know for sure is that the Vanderpumps and Mr. Martinez don’t always occupy the same space. In fact, while staying with Lisa and Ken, Martinez had his own 3,500-square-foot guest house on the Vanderpump’s  $32 million property.

In Season 1, Episode 11, “How to Behave,” Cedric opened up to Kyle Richards about his past, telling her about growing up on the streets of Paris with his mother, a French prostitute. And being left homeless by his mother.

Cedric might be a bit of a “fame seeker,” because he seems to have dabbled in just about everything Hollywood has to offer. He’s done some modeling  (in the 90’s, he  was one of the most sought-after commercial and print models in Europe due to his jaw-dropping good looks) and some acting, gets invited to fashion magazine parties and says he’s currently writing a book (some kind of tell-all).  He has done a variety of things from being a ‘manny’ in his twenties to fronting a boy band signed by Warner Bros and singing with Eric Clapton in front of thirty thousand fans, to running the hottest clubs in London, where he spent 10 years.

Apparently, as of lately Cedric is living on someone’s couch in a zip code far from the 90210 ….and trying to land acting jobs and shows up at gay events all the time.

Last week he had a barely attended viewing party at an LA gay club and is always on the scene  trying to get his picture taken, allegedly. He recently seemed in great spirits at the party, ““The world is my oyster at the moment,” he said. “I am finishing writing my tell all book, I am taking more acting classes, doing some modeling again and my ultimate dream is to end up on a soap.”


While Adrienne Maloof has since cast aspersion on Cedric’s version of events on an episode of Watch What Happens Live, Cedric’s story clearly affected Lisa enough to shelter him for several years. In the finale episode of RHoBH, Lisa and Ken finally tell Cedric it’s time for him to leave. He left their house – and the restaurant job.  Its reported that the Vanderpumps and their former houseguest no longer speak.

*Cedric  was romantically  linked to ex-NSYNC member Lance Bass last fall.. Apparently, Bass was cheating on his then-boyfriend with Martinez. The romance was short-lived, but apparently Cedric will tell anyone and everyone about the dalliance.
