Crank it out Girl!  Just in time for a landmark anniversary, Barbra Streisand officially re-ups with her longtime label home.

Barbra Streisand will remain on Columbia Records, the Sony Music-owned label has announced today.

The Grammy- and Oscar-winning singer and actress has been with the label
for 50 years, having originally signed in the early 1960s. She released
her first album, The Barbra Streisand Album, in 1963.

To commemorate the landmark anniversary, Columbia will also release a
12-set DVD featuring unprecedented access into Streisand’s professional
and personal life. The DVD set will consist of never before seen footage
directly from Barbra’s archives. 12 dvd’s!  What is that going to cost?!

Only once in a lifetime does a talent like hers arise and only
one in a billion of us ascends to this level of legendary as far as
history is concerned. Barbra Streisand is the voice of a generation.
