The contracts have been signed and he will join Argentine actress Elena Roger who will star as Eva Peron, a role she played in London in 2006. Michael Grandage directed that production and will oversee the Broadway revival.
Martin said “I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to perform on many of the world’s largest concert stages, but I’ve never lost my love for the intimacy of the theater.
I’m delighted to know that after I’ve had the chance to share new music and tour over the coming year, that I will then return once again to Broadway. I’m looking forward to playing such an essential part in Michael Grandage’s wonderful production and the chance to work with the tremendously talented Elena Roger.”
Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin both won Tony Awards in 1980 for their performances as Eva and Che in the original Broadway production, which also won Tonys for best musical, director (Harold Prince), score, book and lighting design. That production ran for more than 1,500 performances, from September 1979 to June 1983.
Ricky talked to Billboard last week about his new album MAS and coming out. While he is very happy with his twins Matteo and Valentino he said he wants to expand his family by adopting a girl. He is considering adopting a girl in near future.
“I want more children. This is only the beginning of our family… I don”t know (how many). Maybe one, two more. But yeah, definitely. I need daddy”s girl!”

hot young men in a tub!
I first came across Erik (Eike) von Stuckenbrok about a year or so ago. I had read he was performing at Chamaleon in Berlin . The show was SOAP SHOW.
The VIDEO ON YouTube is AMAZING! What this hot young gymnast does with a pole, a bar soap and a bathtub, gives me chills! It is quite stunning!
You can also see the MADE IN BERLIN clip which played in Berlin this past summer. And then to DOUBLE YOUR FUN, you have to watch Rèmi Martin Eike work out the double pole act in GOP Varieté Hannover – Orangerie – Bilder einer Ausstellung – Pictures at an Exhibition 2009.
This 6 minute video would have been so much better if the guys were shirtless! But nonetheless, very entertaining. He leaps around like Spiderman and I think we will see A LOT of EIKE in the very near future. His career is really just beginning!
His site Hand Balance has a little info about him.
(It was not working today…)
But also LIKE him on Facebook
and the You Tube Videos !
Gaylifenyc.org is an AIDS Health Resources website with Entertainment News and On The Town updates.
For New Yorkers, it’s an amazing resource. But they get world-wide traffic because of all the great celebrity interviews they do. Owner Michael Cavnaugh does most of the interviews and sometimes Jesse Archer steps into help.
This week, there are some really hot and funny interviews.
Currently in Mama Mia, Adam Hart is one of the featured Dancers in Broadway Bares XX this year. Check out this amazing interview with Adam One of the hottest men on Broadway!
Also, Super Hot ex baseball pitcher, Mathew Pender and Village People star RANDY JONES (who both happen to be current stars of the Off-Broadway Play, WHEN JOEY MARRIED BOBBY) are interviewed at the Marriage Equality Gala .
Mike Also Chats with the always entertaining and witty Leslie Jordan in a very funny interview where he talks about his current show, MY TRIP DOWN THE PINK CARPET, and an exclusive about a new Broadway Musical, KAREN , staring him and Megan Mullally based on their characters on WILL AND GRACE. Also Mike chats with Tony Award Winner and star of Law and Order SVU, B.D. Wong, who was honored at the Marriage Equality New York 12th Annual Gala.

The magic of Cirque du Soleil
and the genius of the King of Pop
will be combined in the creation,
development, and production of
Michael Jackson projects based
on the music and songs of Michael Jackson.
An arena-touring show is expected to debut in late Fall 2011 and a Las Vegas permanent show is expected to open in late 2012.
Special lifestyle projects, including a nightclub to open with the Las Vegas show, will also be developed.
The first of these projects will be an arena-touring show in which fans will experience the excitement of a Michael Jackson concert, expected to debut in late Fall 2011. That arena show is anticipated to enjoy an extended run in Las Vegas in conjunction with longtime Cirque du Soleil partner MGM MIRAGE.
The Las Vegas permanent show, also in partnership with MGM MIRAGE, is expected to open in late 2012. MGM MIRAGE will announce the location and plans for the permanent theatrical venue at a later date.
Guy Laliberté, Founder of Cirque du Soleil, commented, “Michael Jackson is the King of Pop and an all-time phenomenal artist, both timeless and contemporary. As a creative challenge, this project is the ultimate. Through the use of cutting edge technology, we will produce a Cirque du Soleil experience not only worthy of Michael but unlike any other we have created before. We are also so pleased that our longtime partner MGM MIRAGE has once again joined us in presenting another unique creative experience in Las Vegas. ”
Katherine Jackson, mother of Michael Jackson commented. “Our family is thrilled that Cirque du Soleil will pay tribute to my son in such an important way.”
The Estate of Michael Jackson and Cirque du Soleil will each own 50 percent of each Michael Jackson project, sharing equally in the cost of creating, developing, building and producing the projects and in the profits from each project. The Estate of Michael Jackson will also receive royalty payments on various aspects of its intellectual property used in the Michael Jackson projects.
In 2008, Magicians Siegfried and Roy were nudged out of the closet and now James Randi, aka The Amazing Randi–the stage magician turned investigator and demystifier of paranormal and pseudoscientific claims, CAME OUT OF THE CLOSET this week! He is 81 years old.
On his forum this week, Randi said…
From some seventy years of personal experience, I can tell you that there’s not much “gay” about being homosexual. For the first twenty years of my life, I had to live in the shadows, in a culture that was — at least outwardly — totally hostile to any hint of that variation of life-style. At no time did I choose to adopt any protective coloration, though; my cultivation of an abundant beard was not at all a deception, but part of my costume as a conjuror.
Gradually, the general attitude that I’d perceived around me began to change, and presently I find that there has emerged a distinctly healthy acceptance of different social styles of living — except, of course, in cultures that live in constant and abject fear of divine retribution for infractions found in the various Holy Books… In another two decades, I’m confident that young people will find themselves in a vastly improved atmosphere of acceptance.
Before publishing this statement, I chose to privately notify a number of my closest friends and colleagues — none of whom, I’m sure, have been at all surprised at this “coming out.” I’m prepared to receive the inevitable barrage of jeers and insults from the “grubbies” out there who will jump to their keyboards in glee to notify others of their kind about this statement, which to them will be yet further proof of the perfidy of the rationalist mode of life that I have chosen. Those titters of joy will be unheard over the murmur of acceptance that I confidently expect from my friends.
This declaration of mine was prompted just last week by seeing an excellent film — starring Sean Penn — that told the story of politician Harvey Milk, the first openly gay man to be elected to public office in California. I’m in excellent company: Barney Frank, Oscar Wilde, Stephen Fry, Ellen DeGeneris, Rachel Maddow, are just a few of those who were in my thoughts as I pressed the key that placed this on Swift and before the whole world…
I should apologize for having used Swift as the venue to publish this note, an item that is hardly the focus of what we promote and publish here, but I chose the single most public asset I have to make this statement. It’s from here that I have attacked irrationality, stupidity, and irresponsibility, and it is my broadest platform. Here is where I have chosen to stand and fight.
And I think that I have already won this battle by simply publishing this statement.“
Note: To hear an extensive discussion of this issue, please listen to my appearance on For Good Reason.
You Go Randi! Hey, better late then never!

When Joey Married Bobby”, starring Lady Bunny, two-time S.A.G.Award Nominee Tina McKissick and introducing former Detroit Tiger Pitcher Matthew Pender as Joey, opens February 6, 2010 for an open-ended run at Off-Broadway house Theatre 80 St. Marks, between 1st & 2nd Avenues.
From the comic mind, of GLAAD Award winning playwright, William Wyatt (Peachtree Battle, A Sunday Afternoon At Loehmans, The Limousine Ride and Veranda) comes a tale about gay marriage in an ultra conservative household.
Bright-eyed hunk Joey (Matthew Pender) has finally met the man of his dreams and ready to take a plunge into marriage. The thought of a gay wedding has Joey’s southern socialite mother Sarah Edwards (Tina McKissick) in quite a tizzy.
Worried that the news of her son’s nuptials might jeopardize her chances of winning “Christian of the Year,” Sarah stops at nothing to protect her name, image and reputation. The legendary Lady Bunny co-stars in the play as the power-wielding, Baptist Minister’s Wife, Charity Divine.
Tina McKissick (Sarah Edwards) is a Stunt Woman and Actress and has worked on more than four dozen movies. Most recently she has stunt doubled for Kristen Bell on When In Rome, Dakota Fanning in The Secret Life of Bees, and Kelly Ripa for GM OnStar.
Lady Bunny (Chartiy Divine) is best known for founding Wigstock, the outrageous NYC drag festival which ran for 20 years and became the subject of the 1995 documentary Wigstock: The Movie. Other film appearances include HBO’s Dragtime, To Wong Foo, Another Gay Sequel, RuPaul’s Starrbooty and I Was A Tranny Werewolf. Bunny tours constantly with her raunchy night club act and her talents as a dj have taken her from Bangkok to Paris where she’s spun for Paco Rabanne, Van Cleef and Arpels and Fendi.
The play opens February 6, 2010 for an
open ended run at-

Can you imagine sitting in a small nightclub, listening to the romantic, sexy torch light songs of Barbra Streisand?
No, I am not reminiscing about the 1960’s. This happened last Saturday!
New York City’s 7th Avenue was buzzing with excitement on Saturday night, September 26, when Barbra Streisand performed a free concert at the historic Village Vanguard to an audience of 100 of her luckiest fans from around the world, who’d been chosen from tens of thousands of entrants in a variety of contests.
Crowds and onlookers of all-ages thronged the streets and sidewalks around the venue hoping for glimpses of the legendary performer who’d last performed in Greenwich Village in 1962, and for notables, including former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, Sarah Jessica Park and Nicole Kidman attending the once-in-a-lifetime event.
GET A SNEAK PEAK OF THE SHOW at the Barbra Streisand website.
