Will Transgender Jenna Talackova Prove She is All Female?
First she was out.
Now she might be back in.
Canada’s Jenna Talackova enlists help of
Gloria Allred, and pageant officials reverse decision. Therefore, Jenna
Talackova may compete in the Miss Universe competition and represent her
country as Miss Canada.
After being selected to be a representative of
Canada in the Miss Universe competition, Jenna Talackova was elated.
But then, some bad news came: she was removed from competition, for
being transgender.
In a statement dated March 23, Miss Universe officials said their
decision was based on their opinion that Talackova did not “meet the
requirements to compete despite having stated otherwise on her entry
form.”
But Talackova did not give up. She called ferocious lawyer for all publicly wronged people, Gloria Allred.
CNN reported late Monday night, pageant
officials released a statement saying Talackova can compete provided
“she meets the legal gender recognition requirements of Canada, and the
standards established by other international competitions.”
Jenna was born male, self-identified as female at age 4,
underwent hormone therapy starting at 14 and received
gender-reassignment surgery at 19.
“I am a woman,” she said Tuesday. “I was devastated and I felt that excluding me for the reason that they gave was unjust.”
Talackova presented her Canadian passport showing her gender as
female. – But did she provide her gender reassignment medical papers? I have to agree, if she has not completed surgery, she should not compete.
In addition to her client’s statement, Allred noted that her client never asked to see the Donald’s genitals, or asked him to prove he was a naturally born male. Trump, of course, had a reply regarding his penis.
“I think Gloria would be very, very, very impressed with me,” he told TMZ
on Tuesday, moving on to note that based on the laws of Canada and the
United States regarding gender, Talackova may compete if she wants to.
“We go by the law.”
“The Miss Universe Organization made the right decision and has taken an
important first step,” said Herndon Graddick, president of the Gay and
Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. “Now, GLAAD urges the
Organization to include all women and use this incident to speak out in
support of the transgender community.” GLAAD said Tuesday that it was
working with the Miss Universe organization to review current policies.
Madonna WILL PLAY St Petersburg – Authorities Are Prepared to Arrest Her
Never the wall flower, Madonna has ignited controversy on both sides of a new anti-gay law in St Petersburg, Russia.
The Material Girl said in a Facebook posting this week that she plans to speak out against the law during an Aug. 9 concert in the city.
“I will come to St. Petersburg to speak up for the gay community, to
support the gay community and to give strength and inspiration to anyone
who is or feels oppressed,” Madonna wrote on Wednesday.
“I don’t run away from adversity. I will speak during my show about this ridiculous atrocity,” she added.
The law, which took effect March 11, in part prohibits “the propaganda of homosexuality and pedophilia among minors.”
Gay rights activists say
it would criminalize even reading, writing or speaking about gay,
lesbian, or transgender people. Violations can carry hefty fines,
ranging from about $170 for individuals up to $16,700 or organizations
and businesses.
The bill’s author, city assemblyman Vitaly Milanov, says he wants
Madonna charged under the new law if she speaks out against it during
her concert. He said he was willing to attend the show “to control its
moral content.”
“I’m ready to personally suffer a couple of hours of her concert,” he told the Russian Interfax news agency.
Madonna spoke out after an op-ed by Masha Gessen,
a Moscow-based Russian-American journalist, was published in the New
York Times on Monday calling on Madonna to cancel the show and urging
tourists and businesses to boycott the city.

Piers Morgan Defends Kirk Cameron’s Anti-Gay Comments
When Kirk Cameron — ’80s heartthrob-turned-staunch advocate for Christian conservative values — appeared on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight on Friday, he did not keep a lid on his controversial views about gay marriage.
“I think that it’s unnatural,” Cameron, who played Mike Seaver on the family sitcom Growing Pains,
said of homosexuality. “I think that it’s detrimental and ultimately
destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization.”
Piers Morgan told TMZ that he feels Cameron “was honest to what he believed” even if most people find his views to be “antiquated.” Morgan says Cameron was “brave” for taking the bait. He says most folks would not voice their homophobia.
“In his interview, Kirk Cameron sounds even more dated than his 1980’s TV character,” gay-rights group Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) fired back.
“Cameron
is out of step with a growing majority of Americans, particularly
people of faith who believe that their gay and lesbian brothers and
sisters should be loved and accepted based on their character and not
condemned because of their sexual orientation,” the organization said in
a statement.
Alan Thicke, who played Cameron’s father on Growing
Pains, tweeted, “I’ll address Kirk’s comments as soon as I recover from Rush Limbaugh’s.”
Although former actor whack job Stephen Baldwin thinks Kirk Cameron did a “great
job” making antigay remarks on television last Friday, other celebrities
including Roseanne Barr, Debra Messing, and Cameron’s former Growing Pains costars Tracey Gold and Alan Thicke disagree.
An online petition has been launched against Cameron by GLAAD. Over 2000 people have signed it, telling the actor “it’s time to finally grow up.”

Scrooge & Marley, an independent film, will be shot in
Chicago May 2012. The film is based on an original script by Ellen
Stoneking, Richard Knight, Jr. and the late Tim Imse. It will be
directed by Knight and Peter Neville.
The film is being financed by investors, and is also launching an Indie
GoGo campaign this week, under the name Scrooge & Marley film.

Barbra Streisand will remain on Columbia Records, the Sony Music-owned label has announced today.
The Grammy- and Oscar-winning singer and actress has been with the label
for 50 years, having originally signed in the early 1960s. She released
her first album, The Barbra Streisand Album, in 1963.

Brett Mycles aka Bob Sager – It’s Been 5 Years
Brett Mycles (birth name Robert Christopher Sager) (December 2, 1977 – February 25, 2007) was a bodybuilder, a fitness model and an adult film star.
This week, he will have been gone 5 years.
IN 2007 we did a story about Brett on our New Gay Travel Guide. To this day, it is one our top Googled postings. And his step-father, allegedly, left comments on our site, about the circumstances surrounding his death, which happened in Chicago.
But to back up a bit,
He was born in Houston, Texas. He moved to Ohio and resided in the Los Angeles area. At age 22, while in Ohio, he entered an Arnold Classic bodybuilding contest where he was spotted by photographer, Irvin Gelb.
He became a successful muscle and fitness model, frequently appearing in such widely-read publications as Muscle & Fitness, Men’s Fitness (both founded by bodybuilding impresario, Joe Weider) & Men’s Workout, amongst others, as well as becoming a featured model for the International Male clothing catalog.
Adult film career
As
“Brett Mycles”, he gained fame as an adult film actor, achieving the
rarely attained feat of maintaining successful careers in both the
mainstream fitness and adult film industries simultaneously. He starred
in several adult films, mostly for Studio2000, primarily in solo and
fantasy scenes, and posed nude in several adult magazines. He worked in
both same-sex and opposite-sex adult films. He also made regular
appearances on a webcam site for paying fans. In a 2005 interview, he
stated that he’d recently married his high school sweetheart, whom he
first met when he was 19 and she was 17.
VIDEO TRIBUTE ON ROD SAGER’S LIFE
He passed away in Chicago. He died in his sleep of heart failure on
February 25, 2007.
Weeks beforehand, family and friends report that he
complained of irregular heart beats and said that his family had a
history of heart problems. –
People have alleged that his use, common among bodybuilders, of steroids and “fat-burner”
supplements, which sharply increase heart rates, may have increased his risk of heart failure. His step-dad seems to believe this is true.

So much is coming to light about poor Whitey’s final days. It’s so sad. It seems she was on a non-stop party roller coaster, by everyone’s account.

I LOVE Stacy Francis, from this year’s American version of X-Factor. singer told yesterday how Whitney Houston flew into a terrifying rage just hours before she was found dead.
Stacy told the UK/ DAILY MIRROR, “the troubled diva – high on tequila
and champagne – lashed out after accusing her of trying to steal her
on-off boyfriend, Ray J. – which nothing could have been further from the truth!
Spaced out on pills (?) and reeling from a champagne and tequila binge,
according to bartenders, the troubled singer suddenly turned into a terrifying monster – as her
demons finally overwhelmed her.
“She was out of control,” shocked
Stacy revealed yesterday. “She put her hand in my face. She was
screaming at me and called me a bitch. She just went crazy – like Jekyll
and Hyde.
“I turned to look at her and she pushed my forehead and turned my face away.”

Stacy said she decided to speak out to
break the culture of silence that
protected stars like Whitney and encouraged their addictions. And that
she felt sorry that the people around Whitney did not do their job in
protecting her well-being. This could have all been avoided.

Dame Judy Dench Discusses Going Blind
Dame Judi Dench has revealed she is battling to save her eyesight.
The James Bond Star, 77, has been diagnosed with macular degeneration which can lead to blindness.
In
a deeply moving interview, Dame Judi said her sight is already so bad
she cannot see faces in front of her and friends have to read scripts to
her so she can learn her lines.
But she said she is determined not to let the condition beat her and hopes recent treatment has stopped the progressive decline.
She confessed: “I can’t read scripts any more because of the trouble with my eyes.
“And so somebody comes in and reads them to me, like telling me a story.
Whitney Houston Cause of Death – Possibly Bath Tub Drowning
TMZ is reporting
that Houston was found in the tub with her face below the water’s
surface. Sources said Houston’s hairdresser had gone to check on the
singer after becoming concerned that she had been in the bathroom for
more than an hour. The body’s position suggested that Houston slid down
the back of the tub into the water. – She was supposed to attend the pre-Grammy party for Clive Davis last night.
One of Houston’s bodyguards reportedly pulled Houston out of the tub
and attempted CPR before the paramedics arrived.

Adam Lambert fills Freddie Mercury’s Shows on QUEEN tour
Adam Lambert has been chosen to front for QUEEN for their summer tour.
The
former American Idol contestant revealed that he will sing the songs
made famous by Freddie Mercury when the group begin the tour later this
year.
He wowed fans by singing with original members Brian May and Roger Taylor at MTV’s EMAs in Belfast last November.
Adam told me he can’t wait to sing with guitarist Brian, 64,
and drummer Roger, 62.
The flamboyant 30-year-old revealed: “The intention is to
pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some f*****g great songs.
It’s to keep the music alive for the fans and give it an energy that
Freddie would have been proud of.”
“Being asked to front Queen is the best thing that can possibly happen.”
Freddie died in 1991 but Queen reformed for an album and
tour with Free singer Paul Rodgers, 62, in 2005.
As well as his Queen duties, Adam releases stunning
discotastic second album Trespassing on March 19. He grinned: “I learned so much from doing my first album.
“Trespassing is much more of an album, not just a collection
of would-be singles like my first record.”
October 8th 1988, was the last time Freddie Mercury performed on stage. At
the time, he was terribly ill with AIDS, although he didn’t want
people to know about it. He announced that fact the day before
he died. Being ill he continued to compose and record songs and
even took part in making videos. In my opinion,
I’m Going
Slightly Mad video is his masterpiece.
On November 24th, 1991 Freddie died peacefully at his home in London of
AIDS-related bronchial pneumonia.

TLC features Prince Manvendra of Rajpipla, the first Indian royal to come out openly in the all-new series
UNDERCOVER PRINCES premiering tonight at 10/9c.
This four part series features Prince Manvendra who in 1991 married
Princess
Yuvrani Chandrika Kumari from Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh, because, he
claims, “I thought after marriage I will be alright because I never knew
and nobody told me that
I was gay and [that] this is normal. Homosexuality is not a disease. I
tremendously regret for ruining her life. I feel guilty”. The marriage
ended in
divorce
when Manvendra revealed his homosexuality to his wife.
In March of 2006, the story of Manavendra’s coming out made headlines in India and around the world. Effigies of the Prince were burnt in Rajpipla, and demands were made to strip him of his title. He expressed that he has no regrets about coming out, and that he believes the people of his state respect him for his leadership in educating on HIV/AIDS. As of 2008, he is the only known person of royal lineage to have publicly come out as gay.
UNDERCOVER PRINCES goes beyond a dating show and takes you into the realm of true docu-reality as the cameras capture what happens when three real life royals are forced to ditch their fleets of servants, live together and search for love as “undercovers.” It is really quite fascinating as they struggle to participate in simple tasks such as working an everyday job or cooking dinner.
The series follows single princes and single princesses from
around the world who go undercover in the UK in pursuit of true love,
according to a TLC press release. They hit up bars and clubs and try
online dating sites and even speed dating in search of their perfect
match to take back to their respective kingdoms.
“Undercover Princes” and “Undercover Princesses” will each air four
episodes, followed by a one-hour update special scheduled to air on
Tues., Mar. 27.
“Undercover Princes” premieres Tues., Jan. 31 at 10 p.m. EST on
TLC and “Undercover Princesses,” premieres Tues., Feb. 28 at 10 p.m. EST
on TLC.
Chippendales is SO GAY. We Love Them
Jaymes Vaughan, a singer and dancer with the infamous Chippendales male revue recently came out in the pages of QVegas magazine. Making him the 2nd out gay dancer from the show.
What?!? Chippendales has singers? Of course they do – these are your Grandma’s Chippendales!
Most of you don’t remember the original Chippendales. In 1979 Chippendales was the first all-male stripping troupe to make a business
performing for mostly female audiences. Through the quality of its
staging and choreography, Chippendales also helped legitimize stripping
as a form of popular entertainment.
Now, they live on in Las Vegas. The Chippendales perform in a ten-million dollar theater and lounge built specifically for them at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Annually, the official men of Chippendales are seen by almost two million people worldwide. Men ARE ALLOWED into see the show these days.
Back to Jaymes, who does double duty at Rio.
“My nights start at 6:00pm and I don’t stop until 12:30am. I
start Show In The Sky, run up to Chippendales in time for my first song,
run back to Show In The Sky for my next number there, and so it goes
each night. There is a four minute break where I run to Burger King,
they give me my chicken sandwich and I run back in time to sing my next
song.”
Vaughan has also released a new single, “Vampire,” and recorded the
accompanying music video. He says he’s always loved the Dracula types,
even as a kid, but that the song is really “about being in a
situation where you can’t be yourself; where you can’t live a part of
your life in the daylight; being in a relationship that I can’t share
with my family. “

Coming out wasn’t like facing the harsh light of day: Vaughan was
already out to his family and friends—and even hosted Las Vegas Pride in
2011. This is more a case of coming out publicly as one of the few
openly gay entertainers on the Strip.
“I hope to be able to
take advantage of a platform so that my fourteen-year-old self that was
sitting in Chesterfield County, Virginia, might find some hope. The
fourteen year old that had no one to look up to; whose mama told him he
better not be gay; whose church told him he was going to hell; whose
best friend killed himself because he didn’t “fit in.” Because he didn’t
have any hope. I thought for so long you had to cover up who you were
to be successful. I’ve realized you can be more successful by being
yourself.
IN 2008- Instinct magazine’s annual swim suit issue cover features Chippendales’ first openly gay dancer, Brandon
Pereyda, talked about how most Chippendales guys are mistakenly
pegged as being gay.
“I guess it is monumental for this company,” Pereyda notes. “Chippendales
guys are often pegged as being gay. And they’re not. And I think this
will clear the slate.”
He continues, “They’re all straight, but we would
do anything for each other and that’s what I really love about working
here. They don’t view my be gay as a negative thing at all.”
On a sidenote – Chippendales in Vegas
has already reached out to muscle hottie Kris Humphries, hoping to fill their empty
celebrity MC spot at the Rio — previously occupied by ex-98 Degrees
singer Jeff Timmons.
Manila Luzon Serves up Hot Couture
MANAILA LUZON serves up HOT COUTURE this week!
Fashion, attitude and a whole lot of hair are what took New York City
drag starlet, Manila Luzon straight to the top on LOGO reality series
RuPaul’s Drag Race (season 3). Since then, the fan favorite has not let
up on the competition in regards to face or fashion. To prove that she
is ahead in the race, Manila has teamed up with Grammy Award-winning
producers Brian Kierulf and Joshua Schwartz of KNS Productions (Lady
Gaga, Britney Spears, 50 Cent) for her debut single, “Hot Couture”.
And
now this addictive dance hit has a music video that is as fun and
colorful as Manila herself. True to the song’s title, the video
showcases a myriad of over the top eye-popping costumes created by a half a dozen
fashion and costume designers including Viktor Luna (Project Runway
season 9 finalist), Garo Sparo (Garo, Sundance Channel) and Marco Marco
(NIcki Minaj, Katy Perry, Britney Spears).
Even through all the fun,
radiance and glamour, the “Hot Couture” music video also delivers a
powerful and personal message.

MADONNA W.E.? Mixed Reviews
Madonna landed stateside last night to premiere her directorial debut “W.E.” in New York at the Ziegfeld Theater.
While the dresses Madge wore to the
European premieres were a bit more understated, like the black and pink L’Wren Scott and the blue gown with Chanel leather gloves
for a photocall, you just never know what’s going to happen when you’ve
got one of the world’s most famous faces in front of the camera.
Madge didn’t disappoint. Madonna opted for full-on red
carpet drama in a sheer black Marchesa gown with a lace and sequinencrusted bodice and gravity-defying ruffles on the sleeves.
With Madonna’s “W.E.” taking home a Golden Globe
just over a week ago (her “Masterpiece” won Best Original Song), much
of the buzz at the film’s NYC premiere Monday night (January 23) was
about the upcoming Oscar nominations. (Today).
Lady Bunny, whose opinion I do value says, “I did not enjoy the very confusing film, which Madonna introduced to a
very impatient audience cuz it was almost an hour late and she gave a
dud of a speech.
When Madonna takes the Super Bowl stage next month, her performance will
reportedly be “imagined” by Cirque du Soleil and Madonna’s longtime
choreographer/ creative director Jamie King. The event may also feature
appearances from her “Gimme All Your Luvin” collaborators, including
Nicki Minaj. According to reports, the set list for the Super Bowl show
will include “Luvin” as well as Madonna classics like “Ray of Light,”
Vogue” and “Music.”
Charlie Hides is YouTubes Man of a Thousand Faces
Comedian Charlie Hides has made a name for himself as the latest YouTube sensation with his uncanny portrayal of a wide range of celebrities. Justin Bieber and Elton John to Madonna, Cher and Lady Gaga among the numerous A-Listers he has portrayed.
Born in Boston Massachusetts, the 7th of ten children he developed a skill for mimicry on the school playground, imitating teachers, class mates and the comedians he’d seen on television.
In 1999 Charlie moved to London and has been performing stand up and in cabaret and fringe theatre productions. In March of 2011 a friend suggested he upload some of his comedy videos to YouTube, millions of views later he’s acquired a loyal following who eagerly anticipate his weekly comedy sketches. (including Kylie Minogue who called him a Genius on Twitter, Boy George, and even Cher)
As well as entertaining YouTube audiences with his comic characters and celebrity impressions he has also become very popular as an in demand entertainer at celebrity parties.
Elton John, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Liz Hurley, Sarah Furgeson, Billy Connolly, Jennifer Aniston, Emma Thompson, Ewan McGregor, Jasper Conran, Kerry Catona, Coleen Rooney, Ricki Lake etc. are among the huge list of Celebrities who have been entertained at private parties by Charlie’s original and renowned characters.
Charlie is particularly skilled at rapidly recreating news worthy celebrity moments such as his take on the now infamous Madonna Hydrangea incident. (His version went viral shortly after the world’s media reported on the event at the Cannes Film Festival.) He recently filmed and uploaded, within hours of the Awards ceremony, a recreation of Elton John and Madonna’s feud at the Golden Globes complete with a costume identical to Madonna’s Reem Acra gown.
