HIV EQUAL – What is Your Status?

HIV Equal is a national multimedia campaign that aims to end HIV stigma
and promote HIV testing by creating a social art movement.
The concept of HIV Equal was created by Jack Mackenroth, a long time HIV
activist and Project Runway alumnus, and celebrity photographer, Thomas
Evans.

The campaign photos include people from all walks of life who support the concept that regardless of one’s HIV status, we are all equally valuable. To help promote HIV testing, every person who takes part in the campaign will also be tested for HIV

As the campaign grows, this will help take the fear out of HIV testing. And as young people see their role models in the photos, they will want to become a part of the HIV Equal movement, as well.

Heading up the testing portion of the campaign is Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Gary Blick, who understands the urgency of outreach especially to the younger generations.

Do Single Gay Men Have Dirty Sheets?

Beds are sanctuaries, (for most people) it’s the place where we begin and end each day. And get the much needed sleep we deserve. But for
some British men, keeping that sanctuary tidy by changing the bed
sheets on a regular basis apparently falls low on their priority list. A
new survey by U.K. mattress company Ergoflex reveals that young, single British men are the worst offenders, changing sheets a mere once every three months. – Probably straight men, I would imagine.

Single women (and probably gay men!)  reported swapping linens every two and a half weeks, while
couples claimed to change sheets every two weeks. Of those couples, the
study found 81% of those washing the sheets were women. Of the 2,004
interviewed, on average men admitted to owning only one set of sheets
while women estimated around three selections.

“One person can perspire as much as a liter in a night—even more if you have a lot of covers,” an Ergoflex spokesman  told the Wall Street Journal. He also explained that skin cells are a source of food for mites, who are
known to fester in mattresses and bedding, and also leave their feces
behind. Fungal mold, fungal spores, lint, fibers, pollen, soil and
cosmetics also accumulate in the often harmless looking sheets.

Apple and Google Allow APP That Says to Cure Gays

GAY CURE?

After just 24 hours the app has disappeared from the iTunes store!
Only Google is left with the harmful app still available in their online
marketplace. It’s working – keep up the pressure by signing and sharing!

Gay ‘cures’? There shouldn’t be an app for that. But, there’s a new
one called “Setting Captives Free,” available in both the Apple iTunes
and Google Play stores, meant to teach you how to stop being gay.

It’s a 60-day course that tells gay people they are not “born this
way” and offers to help them find “freedom from the bondage of
homosexuality.”

These so-called treatments can cause terrible
harm to lesbian, gay, bi, and trans people, or anyone forced to try to
change who they are or who they love.

Apple and Google have policies against these kinds of apps but so far
this one has escaped their notice. Sign now to tell them to drop this
and all other gay ‘cure’ apps!

HIV Negative AIDS disease vs. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

This is very interesting…I read about last year and this weekend I received a letter stating , it’s quite compelling and thought provoking…….”Allied NATO Government is
hiding millions of infectious NON HIV AIDS cases (like mine) under the
“Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)” ICD-code.

UK PROGRESSIVE published one of my letters about NON HIV AIDS.

This marked it’s 11th publication on 4 continents.  This topic has been censored from mainstream media since 1992 (i.e., Gulf War I).

I
hope that you will support this humanitarian issue, and spread-the-news
too (e.g., write a story, add to your e*Newsletter and/or post on
Facebook/Twitter).

My life with NON HIV AIDS (including my recent 5-minute federal testimony): on this blog.

My federal testimony about NON HIV AIDS from a recent CFS/ME advisory committee meeting (Washington, DC via conference call) posted (5 minutes): YouTube. “

I ENCOURAGE YOU TO LISTEN THIS!

This could be a new form of AIDS – and no one is talking about it!

It is something doctors and the government need to answer to this!

Scientists say Gays are BORN THIS WAY

HOW COOL IS THIS?!
Scientists May Have Finally Unlocked Puzzle of Why People Are Gay
US NEWS broke the story – Scientists may have finally solved the puzzle of what makes a person gay, and how it is passed from parents to their children.

A group of scientists suggested Tuesday
that homosexuals get that trait from their opposite-sex parents: A
lesbian will almost always get the trait from her father, while a gay
man will get the trait from his mother.

The hereditary link of homosexuality has long been established, but
scientists knew it was not a strictly genetic link, because there are
many pairs of identical twins who have differing sexualities. Scientists
from the National Institute for Mathematical and Biological Synthesis
say homosexuality seems to have an epigenetic, not a genetic link.

Long thought to have some sort of hereditary link, a group of
scientists suggested Tuesday that homosexuality is linked to epi-marks —
extra layers of information that control how certain genes are
expressed. These epi-marks are usually, but not always, “erased” between
generations. In homosexuals, these epi-marks aren’t erased — they’re
passed from father-to-daughter or mother-to-son, explains William Rice,
an evolutionary biologist at the University of California Santa Barbara
and lead author of the study.

Do you realize how exciting this is?

Davey Wavey Interview – The Motivational, Inspirational Cute and Comical YouTube Sensation

He is the best friend to millions of gay men (and some women too!); he is a fitness guru and motivator ; he is a blog buddy and YouTube sensation with over 80,000,000 views! 100,000 people LIKE him on Facebook and 40,000 people follow his Tweets. On and on and on. Davey Wavey has become his own empire, totally by accident.

Using his platform to spread a message of love, acceptance, mixed in with his clever wit and talk about male sexy stuff and the occasional penis jokes, Davey has become one of the leading online voices for the gay and lesbian community.

Famous for his authentic and often irreverent approach, some of Davey’s 500+ videos include Swimming in $67,000 of Lube, 250 Balloons to Remember the Fallen, Gay Handkerchief Code Exposed and Coming Out: A Game Changer.

My personal recent favorites include when Davey got a straight guy to try on sexy underwear and also when Davey tells SIRI he is gay. A much different video then when Davey showed an extremely sensitive  side and came out to his Grandmother.

A certified personal trainer, Davey believes that honoring your body is an extension of honor your life—and has launched several fitness programs and videos including Davey Wavey’s Get Ripped Workout, The Davey Wavey Weight Loss Program and Underwear Yoga.

Davey is currently single (though his dog Chipotle, is currently the love of his life). And his parents jokingly said he is a pain in the ass to live with! And Davey admitted last week, he does in fact have a lot of pet peeves which could be one reason he is still single.
A sculpted tight little body with perky pecs that defy gravity. (So Far). Add a smile and personality that are both infectious. We caught up with Davey in California recently and also chatted by phone the other day.
Masturbating and the Neighbor is the road to success; WHO KNEW?!  “I know, right? by being a bit of a voyeur, I caught my neighbor masturbating in
Toronto. I made a video about it—it was one of my first YouTube
videos—and it went viral. After that, people started following my
channel and I realized that I had fallen into something amazing.”

People have no idea how much time it takes “to do some blogging posts” and what a day is like for a professional blogger….I just recently hired a personal assistant to help me. I had to. A typical day involves writing blog post, checking emails, a possible meeting or two, balance the check book, updating my social
media channels, filming YouTube content (which could involve anything
from traveling across Australia to jumping from a plane), doing some
video editing and working on upcoming projects. Being the shirtless
YouTube sensation that is Davey Wavey is actually super fun and
creative—I pinch myself every day that I’m able to do this for a living. I love it.  It is work, and I may work 10 hours days many days but it is insanely fun work. I don’t really feel the
pressure to be constantly cranking stuff out. It all falls into place
really naturally.”
You are a role model for so many. How did you get to this place in your life. When I was young, I was overweight. I had eating disorders. I eventually got into gymnastics and then into working out, but my healthier way of life and fitness  now sort of evolved into me honoring life. And just enjoying having a healthy body. I don’t want huge bulging muscles. I think I am pretty happy  now with my body and try to maintain it.  We  all can simultaneously aspire to create a healthier, stronger body
without hating or disliking the one we already have. We can both work
towards building a healthier body while celebrating our current form.

I hope that my videos are entertaining, but – at their core – I try
to infuse every video with a good, positive and affirming message. I
hold myself accountable to videos I make, and so I’m very mindful about
the messages that I’m putting out into the world. When you have an
audience and influence, I think you have a certain level of
responsibility.”

Wait, backing up, what about gay men and their bodies? Are we obsessed?  “There was a study done that showed straight men liked their bodies the most, followed by lesbians, followed by straight women, followed by gay men last. There are several things going here. And one of those things, I believe, is that gay men do not objectify other mens body, any more than straight men objectify womens bodies. The difference is, for gay men, the bodies we objectify are like our own bodies. We live in male bodies. So if I like really fit guys, when I look into the mirror, I see my own male body, and I want to create that in myself.
For a straight guy, while he may value large breasts on a girl, but he can’t get big breasts on himself! So that is the big difference. And that’s the tricky part for us  as gay guys”

(Listen to more of Davies views on his recent vlog on the topic.)

One of your videos really touched a chord, 250 Balloons to Remember The Fallen.  It brings tears to my eyes, every time I watch it. Have you been a victim of bullying?

“I haven’t been the victim of anti-gay bulling, but like so many of
us, I’m just so sick and tired of seeing members of our community denied
the support they need. When it comes to the tragic suicides – like that of Jamey Rodemeyer –
that our community continues to face, it’s hard to find the words. So, I
made this video when I was in Toronto. We wrote the names of LGBT suicide victims on balloons. I wanted to do a video to raise awareness about
the issue and to honor the lives of those that didn’t make it. That’s
where the idea for 250 Balloons to Remember the Fallen came from, and –
of the 500+ videos that I’ve made it’s my absolute favorite
.” (all of the balloons were biodegradable).

Is RED BALLOONS one of YOUR favorite Videos – or most popular? “Each video holds a very special place in my heart—and usually my
favorite video is the one I’m currently working on. But the most
important videos are rarely the ones that get the most views because I’m
not talking about sex, foreskin or gay twins.

If I had to pick just
one, it would be “250 Balloons to Remember the Fallen”. It was
our own little tribute, but it was incredibly moving and powerful. And
it didn’t contain a single penis joke. Go figure! I hope that my videos are entertaining, but – at their core – I try to
infuse every video with a good, positive and affirming message.”

What do think is next? Whats the future hold for you?
“5 or 10 years ago, I would never have thought that I’d be doing this. Creating YouTube videos for a living wasn’t even a job that existed. Looking forward, I have no idea what I’ll be doing. I have talked to television people, but you give up so much control. I love what I do right now. Wherever life takes me, I hope that I’ll have an open mind, a loving heart and a sense of adventure.

If someone wrote a biography of you, what do you think the title should read?
“Dream Big. Live Bigger.” Or else, “How a Masturbating Neighbor Changed the World.”

Bath Salts LSD in Miami = Flesh Eating Nude Zombies

WARNING!

This is nuts!  And it is SO SICK –
but I felt it is important to pass on.

Bearing innocent-sounding names like Bliss, Ivory
Wave and Red Dove, little packets or containers of powder are being
sold as “bath salts.” But they are being called the new LSD.

These powders – sold at some truck stops, gas stations, head
shops as well as online – aren’t bath salts, at all.

They are, in fact, dangerous synthetic stimulants, according to
Edward Bottei, medical director of the Iowa Statewide Poison
Control Center. Ingesting or inhaling the white powder may cause
“hallucinations, paranoia and psychotic seizures.”

Ingredients synonymous with these bath salts are mephedrone – a
cathinone compound which comes from the khat plant found in the
Middle East – and a pure white or light brown substance called
methylenedioxypyrovalerone (or MDVP).

In Miami, 31-year-old Rudy Eugene,  went on a naked rampage, attacking a
homeless man and chewing off his face before being shot dead by police this past weekend. The news sources say  “bath salts,” were involved.

When Ohio emergency room physician Dr. Howard Mell heard that Rudy
Eugene, might have been high at the time on a synthetic
stimulant  “bath salts,” he wasn’t terribly
surprised: in the past year, Mell says seven people – all under age 27 –
have died in the two Cleveland-area hospitals where he works after
using “bath salts.”

Bath salt use has been linked to tragic crimes, including the 2010 death of 21-year-old Dickie Sanders,
a Louisiana man who slashed his own throat after ingesting the drug,
then shot himself to death after the wound had been stitched up. In
Washington State, the Seattle Weekly
reported that toxicology reports found bath salts in the system of U.S.
Army medic David Stewart, who allegedly killed his five-year-old son,
his wife (who also had the drug in her system), and himself in April
2011.

Bath salts are a relatively new class of narcotic known as designer
drugs. The intent of drug producers is to create a substance that flies
under the radar because it is technically not illegal to manufacture and
sell.

If and when that particular drug becomes illegal, a new substance is
created that has similar intended effects, but with a different chemical
combination. These products also skirt the law by claiming on their
packaging that they’re “not for human consumption,” even though the drug
is loaded with innuendos implying their true purpose.

Several cases recorded say users sometimes take off their clothes because their body temperature rises too high and the user becomes overheated, violent, and super-strong.

YIKES!

May is Masturbation Month

Forget Cinco de Mayo!  Let’s masturbate all month long!

Good Vibes founded National
Masturbation Month
in 1995 in the wake of the controversy surrounding
the firing of former Clinton administration Surgeon General Joycelyn
Elders, who evoked conservative wrath when she opined that discussion of
masturbation might have a place in sex education curricula. Realizing
that one simple, sensible mention of solo pleasuring was enough to lose
this prominent woman, the country’s first African-American surgeon
general, her job convinced Good Vibrations staff that this most basic
and accessible form of sex needed a serious image boost.

Some things have changed since 1995,
but National Masturbation Month is still a necessary reminder that
self-satisfaction is a healthy, accessible form of pleasure engaged in
by almost everyone, of every gender and relationship status, at some
time of (or throughout) their lives: It’s relaxing, allows people to
learn more about their own sexual response, is a basic recommendation of
sex therapists that can help people with many different sexual
concerns, relieves menstrual cramps, and helps keep the genitals fully
functional. On top of that, it’s the safest form of sex a person can
have.

Go for it!

Perez Hilton Shows off Abs in a Speedo

You go girl!  It took him about four years, but he has done it. Perez Hilton ( Mario Lavandeira)  can now where a Speedo swimsuit and show off his abs.

Perez Hilton made jaws drop as he strolled the red carpet at LOGO’s 2012 NewNowNext Awards, proudly tearing away his blazer to reveal some seriously toned abs.

It’s been reported that the 34-year-old celebrity blogger extraordinare, once known for his plump figure, has lost between 70 and 80 pounds
in total since he began his new regimen in 2008. Nonetheless, Perez’s
weight loss has been the subject of ample media speculation in recent
weeks, with some outlets even reporting that he’d gone under the knife to achieve the toned look.

Not so, says Perez, who told HuffPost Gay Voices that he did it
completely the old-fashioned way: through portion control and some
serious gym time. “It wasn’t quick,” he said. “And I worked for it! I’m
STILL working for it! In fact, I’m working much harder on my fitness now
than when I first started this journey.”

Perez Hilton is flaunting his buff new bod once again in a new video.

In the new clip, the 34-year-old celebrity blogger and media
impresario boogies to the beat of Kat Graham’s “Put Your Graffiti On Me”
wearing just a pair of skimpy briefs. Also appearing is Perez’s mother, affectionately referred to as “Momma Perez.”

WATCH PEREZ IN HIS SPEEDO  NOW

(The photo below right, is from 2011 – I actually think he looked really good – and healthy. He is almost TOO skinny now, I think, for his body frame. But hey,  YOU GO!!)

Mumbani Fresh Face Anti-Aging Sleep Aid

I heard about this sleeping aid called Mumbani Fresh Face and had to find out more about it.  For people who tend to sleep on their sides or their stomach, I am sure you know  what “morning face”  is!

“Morning Face”, or the lines and wrinkles we see as more prevalent
when we wake up, are caused by sleeping on your side and stomach with
your face constantly pressed against the pillow.

As we age, the wrinkles deepen, especially between the nose and
cheeks, along with the forehead and chin area, eventually making the
facial skin look saggy and droopy. Even at a younger age it takes hours
every morning for the wrinkles to bounce back.

That is why the American
Academy of Dermatology (AAD) cautions that sleeping in certain positions
night after night leads to “sleep lines – wrinkles that become etched
into the surface of the skin and don’t disappear once you are up.
Sleeping on side increases wrinkles on cheeks and chin while sleeping
face – down gives you furrowed brow. To reduce wrinkle formation, the
AAD says, sleep on you back.” Full article But what if we are unable to change our side or stomach sleeping habit? We don’t have to since we now have the Mumbani.

The Mumbani™ Fresh Face pillow is an anti-aging, anti-wrinkle sleep
accessory that will help you lose that irritating “morning face” and
promote healthier, smoother skin!

It is such a simple invention but does the trick – and keeps the face from being smushed into the pillow.

Mumbani™ should be worn nightly over your eyes or on your forehead,
equally effective, it has an adjustable elastic band, so it fits everybody. It has a removable insert pillow and cover are both made to be hand or machine
washed.

$20 is a cheap investment in your face!     Check it out!

15 Things to Get More Happiness in Your Life

Do you ever meet these guys who are so full of themselves, so jaded, you just have to walk away from them?  You wonder if they are really happy?  How do they live with themselves?

These are 15 actions everyone can do – and will help make your life  easier and make you  happier. We hold on to
so many things that cause us a great deal of pain, stress and suffering –
and instead of letting them all go, instead of allowing ourselves to be
stress free and happy – we cling on to them. Not anymore. Starting
today, I encourage you to  give up on all those things that no longer serve us, and
we will embrace change. Ready? Here we go:

1. Give up your need to always be right. There
are so many of us who can’t stand the idea of being wrong – wanting to
always be right – even at the risk of ending great relationships or
causing a great deal of stress and pain, for us and for others. It’s
just not worth it.  What difference will that make? Is your ego really that big?

2. Give up your need for control.
Be willing to give up your
need to always control everything that happens to you and around you –
situations, events, people, etc. Whether they are loved ones, coworkers,
or just strangers you meet on the street – just allow them to be. Allow
everything and everyone to be just as they are and you will see how
much better will that make you feel.

“By
letting it go it all gets done. The world is won by those who let it go.
But when you try and try. The world is beyond winning.”
Lao Tzu

3. Give up on blame. Give
up on your need to blame others for what you have or don’t have, for
what you feel or don’t feel. Stop giving your powers away and start
taking responsibility for your life.

4. Give up your self-defeating self-talk. Oh
my. How many people are hurting themselves because of their negative,
polluted and repetitive self-defeating mindset? Don’t believe everything
that your mind is telling you – especially if it’s negative and
self-defeating. You are better than that.

“The mind is a superb instrument if used rightly. Used wrongly, however, it becomes very destructive.” Eckhart Tolle

5. Give up your limiting beliefs about
what you can or cannot do, about what is possible or impossible. From
now on, you are no longer going to allow your limiting beliefs to keep
you stuck in the wrong place. Spread your wings and fly!

“A belief is not an idea held by the mind, it is an idea that holds the mind” Elly Roselle

6. Give up complaining. Give
up your constant need to complain about those many,  things
– people, situations, events that make you unhappy, sad and depressed.
Nobody can make you unhappy, no situation can make you sad or miserable
unless you allow it to. It’s not the situation that triggers those
feelings in you, but how you choose to look at it.

7. Give up the luxury of criticism. Give
up your need to criticize things, events or people that are different
than you. We are all different, yet we are all the same.

8. Give up your need to impress others. Stop
trying so hard to be something that you’re not just to make others like
you. It doesn’t work this way. The moment you stop trying so hard to be
something that you’re not, the moment you take of all your masks, the
moment you accept and embrace the real you, you will find people will be
drawn to you, effortlessly.

9. Give up your resistance to change. Change
is good. Change will help you move from A to B. Change will help you
make improvements in your life and also the lives of those around you.
Follow your bliss, embrace change – don’t resist it.

“Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors for you where there were only walls”
Joseph Campbell

10. Give up labels. Stop
labeling those things, people or events that you don’t understand as
being weird or different and try opening your mind, little by little.
Minds only work when open.

11. Give up on your fears. Fear
is just an illusion, it doesn’t exist – you created it. It’s all in
your mind. Correct the inside and the outside will fall into place.

12. Give up your excuses.  A
lot of times we limit ourselves because of the many excuses we use.
Instead of growing and working on improving ourselves and our lives, we
get stuck, lying to ourselves, using all kind of excuses – excuses that
99.9% of the time are not even real.

13. Give up the past. The past you are now longing for – the past
that you are now dreaming about – was ignored by you when it was
present. Stop deluding yourself. Be present in everything you do and
enjoy life. After all life is a journey not a destination. Have a clear
vision for the future, prepare yourself, but always be present in the
now.

14. Give up attachment.  The
moment you detach yourself from all things, (and that doesn’t mean you
give up your love for them – because love and attachment have nothing to
do with one another,  attachment comes from a place of fear, while
love… well, real love is pure, kind, and self less, where there is love
there can’t be fear, and because of that, attachment and love cannot
coexist) you become so peaceful, so tolerant, so kind, and so serene.
You will get to a place where you will be able to understand all things
without even trying.

15. Give up living your life to other people’s expectations. Way
too many people are living a life that is not theirs to live. They live
their lives according to what others think is best for them, they live
their lives according to what their parents think is best for them, to
what their friends, their enemies and their teachers, their government
and the media think is best for them. They ignore their inner voice,
that inner calling. They are so busy with pleasing everybody, with
living up to other people’s expectations, that they lose control over
their lives. They forget what makes them happy, what they want, what
they need….and eventually they forget about themselves.  You have one
life – this one right now – you must live it, own it, and especially
don’t let other people’s opinions distract you from your path.

HIV Advocacy Organizations Launch HIVHealthReform.org to Navigate Affordable Care Act

A leading group of HIV advocacy organizations announce the launch of a new website to serve as the go-to source for information, advocacy resources, and news on what health care reform (the Affordable Care Act) means for people living with HIV and their providers.

The website — HIVHealthReform.org — is intended to educate people living with HIV, as well as their medical workers and social service providers, on the benefits and challenges of health care reform for HIV-positive Americans. The website will also provide opportunities to share resources on health care reform implementation and advocacy.

HIVHealthReform.org is the collaborative product of AIDS Foundation of Chicago, Project Inform, the Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation of Harvard Law School/Treatment Access Expansion Project, the HIV Medicine Association and San Francisco AIDS Foundation. The project is supported by a grant from the MAC AIDS Fund.

“Though there’s been plenty of media focus on the Affordable Care Act, it’s been hard to find the facts about what it will really mean on the ground for  those living with HIV,” said John Peller, the AIDS Foundation of Chicago’s vice president of policy.

HIVHealthReform.org intends to fill that void by compiling the work of leading HIV health care reform advocates and reporting on new developments at the federal and state level.

“People with HIV stand to benefit tremendously from health reform and they also face unique challenges in the upcoming transition, and this website will help them learn more about it,” Peller said.  “The site aims to demystify health reform for people with HIV, as well as their medical and social services providers to better prepare them for the new landscape.”

The website also encourages discussion and action in local communities. As one example of how the website will share updates, Project Inform and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation have launched a California-specific blog (HIVHealthReform.org/California) that details various implementation efforts that are on-going in that state as they relate to people living with HIV.

HIVHealthReform.org will further serve as an advocacy resource for activists working to educate key decision makers — particularly those opposing efforts to reduce funding for Medicaid, Medicare or health reform — on the importance of national health reform to people living with HIV.

Breath Slim – A New Way to Lose Weight

It’s that time of year – that many of us over-indulge and many people put “weight loss”  or  “diet”  on their New Years Resolution list.

I just read about this new device that sounds amazing. LOSE FAT without exercising. This is not a fad, but in fact based on years of scientific studies.

In the early 90’s, a group of international scientists and enthusiasts
decided to turn their research to an ancient healing art that has been
practiced for tens of thousands of years.

Their research proved that while different breathing methods produce different results, all of them had a therapeutic effect. Scientists discovered  that calmer and slower breathing allows the body to retain more of its vital resources.

A couple years ago a personal trainer told me that deep breathing exercises can help with weight loss,
relaxation, and sense of well being. Most of us do  not breath
properly, or deep enough,  and only  breath air
up into our chest. Look at yourself in the mirror. Your lungs hang all
the way down toward the bottom of your rib cage. More than likely,
you’re not filling them up with the precious air they need. Most of us
inflate just the upper portion.

In 1996, their research led to the development of the world’s first
respiratory training device (FRTD). The FRTD, a state-of-the-art
breathing device that remedies diseases of the respiratory,
cardiovascular and nervous systems, is patented and registered in many
countries including the United States. The Food and Drug Administration
of U. S. (FDA) approved it in 1998. More than 3 million FRTD devices
have been sold all over the world.

Studies have shown  that not only was the FRTD effective at treating asthma
and hypertension, but in the first month of treatment, more than 82%
of patients using the FRTD also noticed a drop in excess weight.

Scientists from the U. S., Europe and the Russian Federation began
to conduct even more research, discovering that the delivery of extra
oxygen burned through fat through a process called oxidation. They
discovered that it takes about 16 pounds of oxygen to burn two pounds
of excess weight. So with the FRTD, people’s blood streams were filled
with about 24 percent oxygen which couldn’t help but increase the
oxidation (or burning) of fat. They also discovered that with the
delivery of extra oxygen also reduced food cravings.

The BreathSlim device is a specially made cup and breathing “hose”. And the entire process is quite simple. The BreathSlim method is based on exercising your breathing, using resistance to exhalation. Resistance in the lungs increases the pressure of the air, and more oxygen begins to circulate through the blood. You feel your lungs stretch and expand like they are meant to. That extra oxygen you
give your body   moves through your bloodstream, slightly
increasing your flow, and helps get rid of excess waste and fat.

It was a little tricky at first – you will have to practice a bit to get the hang of it. But if you spend about 10 minutes a day, you should see results. They advise that you work up to 20 minutes a day for optimal results.

They also  recommend exercising in the evening before going to bed. This
allows you to reduce signs of fatigue tiredness after working day and
improves the quality of your sleep. I found it very relaxing in fact.

The device runs about $50 and can be ordered online!

HIV Positive – Do you Tell? Do You Ask?

A recent article popped up and all this discussion opened up on Facebook. I thought I would share the discussion here.

The article  was  about the spread of HIV. Daniel Rick was been found guilty of knowingly spreading the HIV virus through unprotected sex with another man. Both consented to unprotected sex.

Rick is the first person in the county convicted under the crime of
felony assault for “knowing transfer of communicable disease.”

I THINK you should assume EVERYONE
is POSITIVE. It doesn’t matter if he asked – or if the other
revealed his status. When you bareback, you play Russian roulette. The consenting barebacking bottom should have demanded a condom. Mr. Day did not lie to him, and say that he was negative.

Always wear protection with a stranger. Period. Even if he says he is NEGATIVE. Wear a condom. Anyone is STUPID to assume
someone is Negative. Unless you see the paperwork for the HIV test, assume they
are Positive. People need to own up and accept responsibility for
themselves.

According to the CDC about
54,000 people die in the US from Influenza/pneumonia each year. 16,000
die from AIDS related issues. Prosecuting transmission of communicable
diseases is a very slippery slope. With this reasoning someone with the
flu who goes out in public could be prosecuted for exposing someone to a
potentially life threatening illness. Instead of wasting money on
prosecuting individuals, it should be spent on education, so people can
make informed choices to protect themselves.

This is not a case of rape. Or a lie being told. The bottom consented to unprotected anal intercourse.

What do you think?

George Michaels Condition Worsens

Doctors treating singer George Michael on the 13th floor of the Vienna
AKH general hospital say his condition has worsened overnight.

He
was hospitalized on Monday after a doctor was called to his suite at
the Hotel imperial in Vienna’s posh first district and diagnosed
breathing difficulties.

He was taken by ambulance to the city’s
top Rudolfiner private hospital in the 19th district of the city, where a
decision was taken to move him to the main general hospital – the AKH.

It is believed it
was decided that the singer’s condition was so acute that it would be
better if he was moved to the AKH – the biggest in Europe and where many
of the continent’s top medical experts are based because of the
advanced facilities it offers.

On Thursday afternoon he was fitted into a special
full-body bed designed to keep all the pressure off his lungs and to
help them to function – so far without any sign of improvement.

Head
doctor from the nearby Otto Wagner Hospital, Norbert Vetter, said that
the reason a person with a lung problem was being treated in the cardiac
unit probably lay in the fact that if there was a lung problem – and
not enough oxygen being taken into the body – then that could affect the
heart especially if the heart had already been damaged in some way. He
added in the worst case the heart could cease to function.

Insiders at the facility say he is getting much worse.

Hillary Clinton Names Ellen Degeneres HIV AIDS Special Envoy

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has named talk show host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres as the U.S. government’s Special Envoy for Global AIDS Awareness. The announcement came Tuesday (Nov. 8) at the National Institute of Health during Clinton’s address about AIDS and the HIV virus.

Clinton says of DeGeneres, “[Ellen] is going to bring not only her sharp wit and her big heart, but her impressive TV audience and more than 8 million followers on Twitter, to raise awareness and support for this effort. I know we can look forward to many contributions from Ellen and her loyal fans across the globe.”

“I’m honored to have been chosen by Secretary of State Hillary Rodham
Clinton as Special Envoy for Global AIDS awareness.  The fight against
AIDS is something that has always been close to my heart.  And I’m happy
that I can use my platform to educate people and spread hope. Now, if
you’ll excuse me, I have to go look up what “envoy” means,” said talk
show host Ellen DeGeneres.

AARP Launches online Destination for older LGBT Americans

AARP CELEBRATES NATIONAL PRIDE MONTH WITH DEBUT OF NEW
ONLINE HOME FOR OLDER LGBT AMERICANS

AARP today announced the launch of a new online Web portal—www.aarp.org/pride—dedicated to serving older lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, and transgender (LGBT) Americans. The organization’s first online home base for the LGBT community reinforces the fact that pride comes in all ages for LGBT members, friends and loved ones. The site features articles on news, personal finance, relationships, travel and other topics of concern to older gay Americans, and their family and friends, as well as a community forum.

“We are proud to provide diverse, expert voices on topics that are important to all Americans 50+, including members of the LGBT community,” said Hugh Delehanty, SVP & Editor In Chief of AARP’s media properties.  “AARP understands that while all Americans 50+ share the same goals of aging with dignity and peace of mind, each of the communities in our lives offers its own challenges, opportunities and contributions towards helping us get there.  We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate national Pride month than to launch this portal, which we hope will help members of the LGBT community and their loved ones get access to important information and relevant insights from experts and each other.”

The new AARP.org/pride portal offers targeted news, trivia quizzes and information on issues that especially matter to the LGBT community in areas including healthcare, retirement planning, caregiving, taxation, employment discrimination and more. Visitors can access AARP’s groundbreaking coverage of relevant topics, including an article from the latest issue of AARP The Magazine examining—three decades after the emergence of HIV/AIDS—–the new face of AIDS: people over 50.  The portal also features AARP’s 20-part multimedia package, The Stonewall Riots: 40 Years Later, A Milestone Anniversary, which won accolades from the LGBT community and mainstream media for its comprehensive coverage of an important chapter in the American civil rights movement.
